ok....whats the story to the game? like,i know that theres a TON of classes,but im not sure about a few things..
1.whos the hell is the main character? is it a boy or a girl?
2.how many characters can you get?

1. In the original version, the Four Valiant Youths were all boys, and none of them was any more prominent than any other. In the remake, the group now consists of three boys and one girl, and one of the boys, named Luneth, is the de facto leader.

2. Four. You keep the same party throughout the whole game.

And occasionally an NPC will join you for story purposes. In the Famicon version, they don't join you in battle at all. However, in the DS version, they randomly help you in battle
