Different things, plus if you have a receipe in front of you it is not that hard to cook most things.

When I've gotten a recipe and attempted to cook something, the result is usually good. It doesn't really take much skill to follow a recipe, I suppose, but I can make things like chicken parmesan or pizza or brownies just fine. I'm definitely no chef, though; I can't just go into the kitchen and whip something delicious up from scratch. :p Typically, when at home, I'm just nuking frozen food or cooking hotdogs or something like that.

Access denied, baby. What a drag.

I can cook lots of things. I haven't really met anything I can't cook.

EDIT: Except Crepes Suzette.

Most things I can cook from memory are the basics like macaroni cheese, which I have cooked so many times in the past that the method has become embedded in the back of my mind. I am getting pretty good at making chicken noodle soup from memory... though last time I did that I made a pretty big broth error. :-[

What I really like to is bake stuff like cakes (and the like). Though I am pretty confident of my cake baking skills, the only cake I will make without a recipe at hand is a sponge cake. More difficult foods intimidate me enough to have me go by recipe, especially with meringue, which I have had some pretty depressing results with even when I have a recipe.

PG, I can't see your pie. :(

I don't like to cook, but I do like to bake. I make good pie and I can do that without a recipe. Fruit pies anyway. Anything fancier and I like to see a recipe. :cat:

It does too take skill. ;_;

I enjoy cooking very much, but I'm not very good at it and sometimes even when I follow the recipes from FoodNetwork, things still come out very very wrong. It makes me sad. And I leave the kitchen looking like a tornado went through it. It's hard to cook!

But I'm working on it, and I think I'm getting better. My boyfriend likes the food I make. :)

Let's see, stuff I've can make somewhat decently:

- Chicken Parmesan
- Cajun spiced chicken
- Baked potato soup (with BACON!)
- Basil, sausage, and onion frittata (this one was easy!)
- Chicken and beef kebabs with herbed potatoes
- Spaghetti
- Pasta in Alfredo sauce
- Tacos! (also very easy)
- Cookies... of LOVE
- Omelettes (of LOVE as well)
- Kimichi fried rice

That's all I can think of at the moment.

I can cook, bake, grill, stew, fry, boil, and other such kitchen activities. I usually just throw stuff together and make either a culinary masterpiece or complete abomination. I just have to take out the batteries from the cooking alarm once in a while, because I'm somewhat neglectful. ^_^

I learnt to cook from my dad, who is bloody awesome at it. So yeah, I'm pretty good at cooking myself. I'm less adventurous than he is really, since I have a bizarre sense of taste. I also do most of the cooking here at home, since my girlfriend is lazy and not nearly as good as I am. Useless cow. <3

I can cook quite a few things, I enjoy it. But really, most of the time, I just throw things into the oven and wait for them to cook. :jess:

O_o What's that pie made out of, PGiggle? It looks like dirt and lotion. xD

I can make some things I learned in cooking class Freshman year. For instance, some homemade pancacas (pancakes). Though, I am definitely no gourmet chef.

I'm an alright chef. I mean give me a recipie and I can follow it and get a great result. I can also do many pasta dishes or other simple things from scratch very well. My pasta bakes are a firm favourite, especially when served started with something light and simple (ciabatta with mozarella and tomato on it is good) and a great bottle of wine. Twisted Tinkerbell however is a great baker and should do cakes for me more often as they are yummy (but then I want to remain slim so maybe not lol)
