All right, I'm not sure if this has been done yet or not but here goes...

I usually feel that the best way to get to know a person is through what music they listen to, but I also know that there are a few songs we all relate to a little better than others.

What I'm asking is, what song best defines you?

to be fair and to to acknowledge the fact that humans are complex creatures with conflicting psyches, I want you to list three songs. You don't have to explain why but it is encouraged;)

You're Not Here - Akira Ymaoka:
Because it just connected with me when I went through a massive horrid breakup. It just suited me and basically made me realise crying and wanting was pointless.

The Power of Love - Huey Lewis & The News:
It just makes me smile and I just love the opening lines:
The power of love is a curious thing
Make a one man weep, make another man sing
It just makes me smile so much when I hear it.

Bliss - Muse:
Not just one of my favourite Muse songs, but one of those songs in general I cant get enough of.
Give me all the peace and joy in your mind
I want the peace and joy in your mind
I just think those 2 lines are perfect. To me, its like Im envyous of some people and want the peace they have in order to make them feel secure.

Lamb Of God - 11th Hour
Well, it's because I like to drink every time I hang out with friends, go to metal concerts, etc. And this particular song is a drinking song. Go figure...

Shadows Fall - The Idiot Box
Mainly, because when I'm like, really bored, I like to sit in front of the TV...be it watching Headbangers Ball, Dallas Cowboys games, New York Yankees games, San Antonio Spurs games, or one of my DVDs...Hell, that even includes PS2.

Black Label Society - Suicide Messiah
Basically, the chorus of this song reiterates all I have to say to drug-addicts:
Bow down, you chose your maker
He never gives, he's always your taker

Reeno the Alchemist

I don't think a single song defines me, but a couple do define different parts of what is me;

Machine Head - Davidian
Pearl Jam - Inside Job
Taproot - Poem

"I Can't Help But Wonder Where I'm Bound" - Tom Paxton
This song really expresses my state of mind right now in my life, so I think it's appropriate.

"There But For Fortune" - Phil Ochs
Essentially, are we that different from the so-called depths of society? Or are we just lucky?

"Around and Around" - John Denver
Uh... the world goes around too quickly.

Good question. Probably Temptations or Do For Love from 2Pac. They describe an element to my personality through the way he uses his words correctly.

Lamb Of God - Now You've Got Something To Die For
Mainly because when i'm mad I like to be in a massive mosh pit and cause fuckin' loads of havoc

Rage Against The Machine - Bullet In The Head
Mainly because it describes my feelings pretty clearly

Killswitch Engage - Alive Or Just Breathing
Mainly coz I play the drums along perfectly with it and I love it, in this song it makes me become one with my drums.

Welcome To The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance

Isn't that song about death or cancer or something?

If you're not dying of cancer that's a pretty strange song to associate yourself with.

If you are, sorry.

It's about dying of cancer, but I've got the emphasis on the black parade itself! It's like a death march of the dead or near dead
