I am drooling over the ultimania guide whenever I read about it, but it's insanely frustrating that this gold mine of FF-X history, background story and knowledge only exists in Japanese.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get it translated? Collective work from EyesonFF, bribe a Japanese guy, write five thousands e-mails to Square....?

No, seriously... I would love to have this book in English. As there are ultimania-games for other FF-games as well, are there any talk of Square translating them or something?

Wasn't the ultimania put out in england also? Or was that the piggyback version?

Ultimania is meant to have a wealth of back story isn't it though? That wasn't included in the Piggyback guide

I've got the official strategy guide, but there's very little information in it, compared to the ultimania guide.

I've found the next-best, though - some brilliant geek have spend loads of time translating character background, Spira history, timeline etc etc. on a thread at gamefaq -
