FFXII's opening FMV was pretty great with the Star Wars/LoTR-esque massive war sequence. FFVIII's was great too, obviously.

FFX probably has my favorite ending. Bittersweet tragedy was never more pretty!

I haven't playedd FFXII yet, my brother bought it yesterday but he said he gets to play it first:mad:. I don't really mind but.....I can't wait, he has to work today to, so I hafta wait till he gets home.

FF8's opening: The music was a really nice welcoming so to speak and the fight sequence was really cool as well. It introduces you to the rivalry between the two characters early on and brings you right into the story instead of some flashy and meaningless sequence.

FF10's ending: I love unhappy endings, especially with characters I don't like. However, I hated the song, Suteki Da Ne.

Best ending movie would be the one on the PS version of FFVI, and the FMV is titled "For the Lovers". Good stuff.

No FF intro has been as successful at introducing the game than FFVII’s introduction (although FFX-2 would probably come close). Short, sweat, and the FMV merges straight into gameplay at its conclusion.

As for ending, FFIX would probably win out due to the Iifa Tree section.

My favorite opening FMV is the one in FFVIII, although after the FMV, the first couple of hours in the game are relatively uninteresting. My favorite ending FMV is either the one in FFIX or the one in FFX.

'course since FFXII came out people will be shouting how it's opening and ending and everything else was the BEST!!! Yawn.

I highly doubt it's "Star Wars/LOTR" opening isn't that great mainly because no scene in Star Wars remotely resembles any fight in LOTR.

Liberi Fatali and Squall and Seifer's gunblade duel beats whatever that scene shows.

And nothing will ever touch IX's ending. Watching how each character has so developed and come to realize who they are, feeling the satisfaction that you completed something and then topping it all off with Garnet running to Zidane to finally consoldiate their love. It's simply beautiful and artisitc to the point nothing can touch it.

I'm going against the flow in terms of favourite ending; The long, long ending of Final Fantasy VI. I actually liked it and was intuned for every second of it. =P

I liked FFVIII's beginning as a whole, but my favorite scene from a beginning would have to be when they are all sitting around the fire at the start of FFX. It was so sad, and it made you want to get to know who all those people were.

As far as endings, I am going to have to hold out until I finish XII. If I had to choose now, I would prolly go with X-2, especially the Good ending when Yuna runs out of the airship and hugs/tackles Tidus. What can I say, I like happy endings :greenie:.

I thought the FMV at the beginning of FF2 (Origins version) was awesomely cool, with the bad guys attacking Fynn and chasing the four young folks. I wish that Firion would have that kind of knife-and-sword throwing skill outside of that FMV.

It's kind of funny that the FMV ends with them standing on a cliff, looking at Fynn being destroyed. Because right after that, four of those Black Knights catch up with the four heroes, and quickly reduce the number of known heroes to 3.

I liked FF7's ending. It was creepy to see Midgar off in the distance, all covered in vegetation and run down. Plus, Cloud's 1-arm pull up is super sweet.
