Eastersands-South Bank Village problem.

I am giving the medicine to the wife of the trader for the sick traveler. (The 'Patient in the Desert' sidequest.)

I have the problem that I need to finish the 'Ferryman Missing' sidequest. The book refers to it, but I cannot find out about the quest or any info on it. (I'm half blind so...)

Maybe it's something I've misased on a completely obvious but .... please, any help is appriciated.

The Ferryman's Missing sidequest is actually the Cactoid Family sidequest. It's available after getting the Dawn Shard, and you must have completed the Desert Bloom Hunt and given Dantro's wife the Cactus Flower. After all that, talk to Tchigri by the boat and he'll take you across the Nebra River, and it's pretty straightforward from there. That will also give you unlimited access to the second half of the Estersand.

Oh goodie. Locked behind the 'gathering noteriry'(sp?) bit. Wonderful... I'm going to level up crazylike before I start that little bit of fun.

Speaking of the flowering cactoid, where the heck is he? I cannot find that whatever labyrinth. Either it is really out of the way or I am just blind.

It doesn't hide or need anything to trigger it out.

You should see him. He's kinda hard to miss he's a catiod thing walkin a litle faster than the others an hes got a big ridicilous red flower on his head....;) Now if ur talkin bout finding him while ur doin the little side quest thing in the village behind Dantro's wifes house youll see a red flower coming out the ground look at it an wala. an aerith if i rember right i think he's like on a ledge sumwhere. I rember seein him runin around an hes not by himself i think theres like 1 or 2 regular catiods postin up with him.

In that southeast pocket of the map iirc. Just look on the east of the map. To defeat him, if you have a aero mote, have Vaan and Bashe attack him to 2/3rds health, then use the mote. (Or just bring two characters of more so his '1000 needles' doesn't instakill soloVaan. - If his health is a quarter or less you get instakilled if you have less than 400HP.)
