Seriously. I'm getting pwned. Vaan is at level 16, and is my highest leveled character. Penelo, Fran, and Balthier are level 13 and they are my lowest. I use water when I can, but that's the most effective spell I have. Help.

Maybe I was overreliant on quickenings, because I was underleveled, but I got pretty much every character a quickening (even the ones that aren't in my main battle party) and just unleashed them on him in chains. I'd switch out the ones who've used the quickening for ones that haven't and then by the time I finished all that, Belias was dead/really near death. :) Good luck!

Well, since you have no quickenings, and are pretty much using initial equips (from the convo we had). I'd walk back to Rabanastre, and speak with montblanc. As a boss reward for the flaming stag, he'll give you two teleport stones. Use one to go to Bhujerba and start gil farming in the Lhusu mines. Buy equips, spells, technicks (CHARGE!!!), and gambits, and all manner of things. Get some quickenings. Use your other teleport stone to get back. Pwn that bitch!

The second bridge area specifically is where the Skeletons spawn like crazy. Get a great chain going there. Great exp, great loot (Bone Fragments).

And...where on earth is Belius? ;_; I must've passed him because I don't know where he's located and I'm in Raithwall.

Yes. Just been doing that exact thing for like two hours. Levelled up lots, made retarded crazy money, got some nice loot. Only problem is they kept running out :(

When they stop respawning, just go chill out in a different area for awhile (or maybe you just have to wait for awhile, I've heard that too). They'll start appearing en masse again.

Although, it seems to me, that in the 20s now, they aren't appearing very frequently anymore. I used to just go up and down the bridge as they jumped out of the ground only to be immediately mashed into bone dust again, but now they're getting afraid or something. Maybe it's because I turned on my leader's gambits?

Er, anyway, getting off topic. xD

No, I totally shredded him at lvl 12-13. You just need a mad Quickening chain t take out most of his health, and BAM! Dead. If you don't have Quickenings, leave and go train a lot. The Ogir-yensa Sandsea is great for chaining Urutans, and that merchant at the entrance has some nice stuff.

when i fought him vann was level 13. I had fran constantly cast protect an shell on everyone, Fran was level 16 i think an she had her 1st quikening an i used that if her mana level permited an i jus attacked like hell with everyone. An it also helped to have someone with poition lore an them using high poitions when someone was close to dying. Me personally i thought that glod bird in front on the tomb was harder the Belias.

I agree with TidusMaster, I fight him when my party level is 19, I don't have any problem with him, I don't use item except Handkerchief, I don't use Water at all but since I'm going to make a guide, I try to steal, use every magic to sense his weakness and have to count damage to know his HP. :(

Try getting a lot of the "Augments" on the License board before you go to far into the Weapons and other areas. The sooner you gain all the augments like "10% action time" and "+500 Max HP", as well as improved physical damage, and magic potency. Once you get those, all that's left is to level up your characters and then each of them will already ahve those added bonuses which will help out big time early on.

And Zeromus_X, if you haven't found out already, Belias is at the very end of the Tomb after you take the Green Way pedistol transporter and then when you go through the secret passage when the platform lowers. If you take it down to a lower section, there's only one place to end up, you'll walk onto an open area after decending sme steps, and a cut-scene triggers that introduces Belias, and then it's "Game On"!

Wow you're on LVl 16 you're pretty much set I was only level 13 or 14 when I fought him, all you have to do is keep on trying, make sure to keep protect and shell casted and the frontline hitters, because Firaja will decimate all of them if you don't. It's Belias not Belius. Who said you need quickenings, I still don't have a single one and I'm almost through with the game.

Thank you, BustaMo. :)

I beat him with characters at level 21, so...I guess I was overleveled or something, because everyone else is all here at level 13. I just had Ashe use the Demonsbane Sword, and with Berserk, he didn't last long.

I <3 Berserk.

I'm so glad I have an Esper! :excited:
