If you could help me then I'd be very thankful. I'm stuck at Dreadnought Leviathan and I'm about to fight a Mage, 2 judges, and 3 knights. All my characters are inbetween levels 7 and 8.

I was thinking about giving Bolthier the potions to automatically give my other characters potion once they've hit below 70 hp. I was also going to go after the Mage first, then then the nights, then then the Judges. I've also hav'nt bought the Libra and Cure because I did'nt know what it was at the time.

Does that sound like a good plan?

Wow, you were even more underleveled than me around then. Since you're rather underleveled, I'd recommend using quickenings on them.

Have 2 characters focus on the judge. Then have another 1 focus on healing.

I won almost instantly with a Quickening kill.

Crap.....I don't have a quickening either.

But I did win against them.

My characters are levels 9-10

and I'm going against the main Boss right now.

I managed to kill the three swordsmen and got the main Judge half way down.

Any ideas on who to use first and how to kill them?

And is 9-10 level good enough?

Well when I was there my character were LVl 10 and 11. I know it's hard it frustrated me too, remember to cast protect on everyone before the battle. Kill the three guards immediately and then cast shell on you other party members if you have it, which I didn't if not just make sure their HP stay high because the judge's Aero deals mean damage.

I'm going to have to start all over again!

Noob = No quickening, no Aero, no level ups, no anything........Thanks everyone but I'm going to start a new file and this time I'm going to do it right.

Wait, why?

Just wander around and level up until you have enough license points to make your way to a quickening.

You don't buy quickenings..

Quickenings are abilities you get from the license grid. You don't have to buy them. One you get the license for them, you have them.

Alright I started over and now I just escaped prison and Penolo has just been kidnapped.

I still don't have my Quickening but I do have my Libra.

Here's how it's going now.

Hp 200-300
Lp. all my characters have inbetween 100 and 200
level 8-10

Where are the quickenings on the chart?

OMG! Why did you start over?
Anyway, you can find the tile for Quickening.
Just randomly go inside the License and search for it.

The tile will look like this:

???
Quickening (50 LP)

Most of them are around the corners.

Alright I'm back at the Leviathen and I'm about to go against Boss Judge again.

I have a quickening for both Vaan and Basch.

I tried to use it on Judge and his guards but I did'nt know how to do it! I pressed R2 randomly and I only got him down half way.

How do I use it?

and if I do it right will I destroy him in one hit?

Press R2. If a button appears next to a characters name, press that button. Sometimes you have to press it twice. That does a stronger attack. Mist Attacks or something. If no button appears, press it again.

And pretend you didn't just waste a ton of time starting over when you could have just fought soldiers and leveled up right where you were without restarting.

Yeah, if you want to quickie level grind, just get a decent gambit setup and hang out in the alarm room and fight the constantly spawning soldiers and leave it on overnight. WarZidane did that and got to level 25 on the Leviathan.

you didnt have to start over OR get quickenings

you just need a buttload of potions/phoenix downs

im at the part where you have to fight the demon wall (a little past leviathan) and im only lvls 12-13, MAYBE 14. When i beat ghis, i didnt have any quickenings, just an absurd amount of poitions and phoenix downs. Just take out the soldiers first, and dont forget to rotate your party if you cant revive someone.

crap! spend some time leveling up in the tomb and dreadnought and i mean level up... like to level 15-16 at least!... and get some good licenses... no need for espers

Fate Fatale

There are no espers at this point in the game, so no need to worry about that charlie. ;) Theres no need to be 15 or 16 either.. I'm not far away in the story, and I'm doing fine at those levels. 10 or 11 should be good. Then you wont need to buy all thouse pots or pheonix downs.

I just got to the Judges, and realized, I'M REALLY IN NEED OF LEVEL RAPING. I'll be taking the Roto-route on this one. =]
