Epaaj (before airship): Fight outside the sunken cave, you will encounter them every fight. Epaaj drop SOS overdrive weapons, which sell for up to 75,187 gil depending on the number of empty slots. Also, they sometimes drop tetra armour. (see customisation)

When you have the airship:

Customisation: Go to Kilika shop, buy tetra armour for 2250 gil. Customise and sell.

Example: Capture the fiends in Besaid, get 99x stamina tonic from arena guy.
Buy tetra armour for 2250 gil in Kilika, customise and sell for 28406 gil.
That's 26,156 gil profit per stamina tonic. So, 99 stamina tonics = 2,589,444 gil.
However, you might want to save some for later, as you won't get them that easily again.

Gillionaire: Get double gil when you kill a monster while equipped character is in the front row. (Very useful against mimics in the omega dungeon - steal from treasure chests in battles to fight them).
Get Rikku's Godhand fully powered or customise with 30x designer wallet.
(Designer wallet: Capture omega ruins fiends for 60, or steal from don tonberry or cactuar king using master thief).

Monster arena: Arena creations always drop equipment when defeated. These can be sold, and some are worth a lot.
Example: One eye (capture flying eyeballs to unlock). Sell any unwanted triple AP weapons he drops.

Get Wakka's World Champion fully powered up and use Attack Reels. With 120+ Strength and 12 hits it should kill One Eye.
