you have to get him. You couldnt proced with the game's story line if you didnt. But ima warn you....you need atleats 2 people with quikenings an bring a lot of strong bows or guns........Youll run into a nasty little fawker before you meet Belias. Not gonna spoil it for you but youll see.........

true Belias was pretty easy, beat him on first try butthe damn golden bird out front of the tomb kicked my ass so many times! It took me like 9 times before i finally beat its freckin punk-ass.

xD I took down the aforementioned boss without taking any damage. I only had two people with Quickenings, so I used them

i lost to belias, and scince theres no save points in the place i got to start from the beginning :(

I lost the first time I faced him because I was at a low level and had no idea how Quickenings worked. Get prepared and then head in; he's weak to water.
