How to make sure a thread doesn't get any posts

Not that I want it to actually happen but I'm interested in hearing what you people would do to make sure a thread of yours doesn't receive any posts. (without getting it closed) I know you want your threads to get posts but if you were to make a thread that isn't suppose to get posts or get closed how would you do it?

Make a thread about a band or book that nobody has ever heard of. Theres like an 80% chance it wont get posts.

If you have mod-like powers, close the thread imediately after posting. No one can post in the thread (besides the staff) unless the staff opens your thread.

My first few threads on Eoff pretty much bombed. :( I'll list some; don't post in them though, they're very old.

Threads I've made that have successfully disinterested enough people to hardly get any posts (even though I thought they would go well):

My thread about the hardest FF1 challenges anyone had done - 7 replies only. (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=81601) Ironically enough, someone else made another thread with the exact same premise recently, and probably got more posts.

My thread on the Lonely Island, a group of amateur film makers with really good humorous skits - 3 replies only! (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=81563)

Since then I've made some pretty big threads. One of them almost reached page 5 (for those with other page settings than me, it had 111 replies).

I still don't get why some of my earlier threads didn't get more comments, when similar threads turned out with giant responses.

yup...thats what happens....liek...4 posts..then...closed....or falls ot the bottom of the pile....
and..uhh....say somethin that wont bother peopel beliefs or whatever...cuz then youll get posts and the majority will be hateful little people...and then the bandwagon starts....and whaddya know...it up to 7 pages....
