I was rummaging through my basement boxes went I found all my SNES games. I was looking through them and came across Super Mario RPG:confused: . I forgot all about the game and thought...Why not. So I unpacked my SNES and started playing....am I the only person who thinks this game is awesome?!! I can't stop playing it, I don't know why but it's addicting! I was reading on another forum and they said it was an old SE embarrasment. So I ask, am I the person who still plays it not because I'm bored?

It's coming on the Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=95840). It's an old classic.

'Course it's over 10 years old, so maybe not to many people are 'still' playing it since then, but I for one will be playing it again on Wii. I never had an SNES, and can't be bothered to emu games much.

I absolutely adore this game. I'll never be able to get the Super Suit though. :(

It was one of the greatest RPG's of our time I say. I definitly say it ranks with Lufia and FF's. Too bad Nintendo crapped out on all the sequels in Paper Mario which was just...no...RPG not SE made using Mario = can not ever work.

Well, I've never played it, so I'll probably download it off the Wii.

Oooh! Dr Indiana Jones says something I agree with! :spin:

He is right.

Paper Mario and Paper Mario 2 are absolutely amazing games, very addictive and very funny. They are just sheer class in every way possible. Innovative, original and very funny too.

I'll just quote what I've posted about Super Mario RPG in other similar threads on this forum.

Super Mario RPG is one of the few Mario games I actually liked. It plays a lot like an RPG game, though the system isn't as complex as in many of the FFs. The battles are a lot of fun, though. There's not that much storyline or character development, but it's still nice visiting a lot of places. The locations are well done, as are most of the minigames. The soundtrack by Yoko Shimomura is quite enjoyable, and there's also a few songs from the composer of the Mario games, and a few by Nobuo Uematsu.

I thought Super Mario RPG was a pretty good game. It had more storyline than other Mario games I've played, but I still wished it had more story and more character development. The only place I really disliked was the Sunken Ship. The battles were quite fun, and Culex was probably my favorite part of the game.

Super Mario RPG is what got me into RPGs in the first place. So yeah, I like it. And Paper Mario does rule:)

This game is so awesome, I've played it over and over for at least 20 times. AND it has never become boring. That's how you can tell this is an awesome game. Plus, it features tons of good things, especially the characters and bosses of the game.

I'm on another play through again. This time with a Bowser/Mallow set up. Should be interesting.

This game is one of the ones that makes me regret not optiong for another SNES after my sister sold ours (I went for a PSX instead). It had a story that was simple, yet fun. The best part was that it was humorus, and retained a certain depth that only RPG's can have.

So, it's really going to be on the virtual console? If so, then my mind is made up: I'm getting a Wii the second there is a price drop or a sale.

This is my favorite game of all time.

Not Starcraft, not Metal Gear Solid, not Zelda: OoT, not Final Fantasy VII...

Nope. Super Mario RPG is my favorite game. There can be only one.

(also, I about died when Geno made that cameo in Superstar Saga.)

Actually, her name was still Princess Toadstool at this point.

And I've tried it many times. I usually had Mario, Geno and Bowser in my party. There are a few fights that I'll use her just for healing or something, then get rid of her right after. Because Group Hug is the rockinest for healing.

I liked the side stuff, like Culex, the Casino, the Super Jump challenges, and all the other junk to be done.
