Can anyone think of any famous Final Fantasy fans? I'm doing some research for work and unfortunately I'm not producing many results on this one...

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If don't find ANY, try mentioning the Maestro / Producer of the PLAY! concerts. He is kinda famous in classical music scene and organized several FF concerts

Arnie Roth, Principal Conductor and Music Director of PLAY!.

As far as I know, Jeremy Soule (http://www.us.imdb.com/name/nm0815819/) is a fan of Uematsu's work, if not the FF series. He has composed several video game soundtracks, such as Knights of the Old Republic, and he did an arrangement of Tina's theme from FFVI. He named it "Squaresoft Variation", and he had added a comment, "With deepest respect".

The only famous FF fan you need to know is Griff: Future Ruler of the World!

Method Man is one he said so in Vibe magazine and that Square should make a Final Fantasy based off people in the music industry.

Thanks, that was really helpful! If anyone thinks of anymore...

So far I've got Owen Pallett, Jeremy Boule, Method Man, Arnie Roth (good call!) and the ultra tenous ones...Mena Suvari and Rachel Leigh-Cook (though they both admit to never playing the games...)

This is hard!!

* Jeremy Soule, not Boule. If you're going to include people that have never even played the games, how about including Steve Burton and James Arnold Taylor too? I think Burton said in an interview he's always wanted to play Cloud or something like that, and JAT seems to be an FF fan too. At least he's been hosting several FF concerts.

I don't really want to include them because they're too tenuous (you should see Rachel Leigh-Cook's response when asked by the IGN reporter if she'd played the game...it's hilarious), as I said, but the list is looking a bit z-list without them. I don't think Steve Burton would do much to alter that ;)

It's funny, you'd think as it's such a huge franchise all over the world, more major celebs would have come out and spoken of their admiration for the games. There's enough of them that have come out and said they're s***. Idiots.

I think most famous people probably don't play games that require time and solitude like FF does.

Well obviously JAT! He's a fan of FF because that's the only thing that gave him the little recognition he has. And Wooldoor Sockbat on Drawn Together. Drawn Together kicks a$$!
