View Full Version : Ultimate Villain
Martyr

I have no pretensions about the idea that this thread is some kind of ultra-new idea.
Oh, I guarantee that it's been done before.
I simply plan to do it once again!
So, mine?
I favor Ernie McKraken.
If you don't know the nefarious villain from Kingpin, then I do not envy you, for he is truly evil, and is no man by any means that you would like to know.
But everything about him, from his selfishness to his relishing in his crooked and ile success to his hair to his laugh to his slimy deceitful evil deeds... And all the way to his ultimately winning everything, makes this character the nastiest and most evil character in my eyes. More evil than Sephy or Darth Vader or Michael Jackson all together!
Who do you believe is the most evil Villain.
Note: Because I like polls, I shall provide one for your convenience, should you choose to use it.
Edit: Whoops, forgot to make it so we know who you voted for. Too bad...
Edit 2: If you would like to vote for Zed, but meaning Zed from Pulp Fiction and not Lord Zed, the skinless space thing, write it out in your post, and it shall be accounted for.

Yeah. I was hoping for your own creative input.
If you seriously choose off the poll anything other than Ernie McKraken, then I'd be confused, because, yeah, the choices suck.
There are two "d's" in Lord Zedd's name. :D
Anyway, I'm not really sure who the ultimate villian would be. Most likely it'd be someone I've never heard of, but for now I'll go with Carnage and his various forms (like Carnage Cosmic).

Cruella Deville made me cry when I was younger.
She wanted to make a coat out of puppies. I mean, dang. That's evil!
But if by "ultimate" you meant the kind of villain you sorta kinda love. I say Magneto. But only Ian McKellen's Magneto. <3

Sephiroth, & possibly Venom or Shredder.

Sephiroth, of those listed. Weak list, though.
Mr. Sinister is probably my personal favourite, although it's hard to say without a decent list to mull over.

Magneto - An absolute badass and a fine villain to boot, I can picture him using his metal abusing powers to bloodily engrave "I rock, no doubt" into his own arm.

Of those on the list....Zedd....I mean he was a pretty mean villian.
As for over all, I'm going to have to say easily the new villians of FFXII. They got some nice class and style other villians now a day lack.
Then for right after FFXII's it'ld have to be an easy Kefka. Nothing like crazy evil.

Lumburg from Office Space is the ultimate villian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
starseeker

Albedo from Xenosaga. I just find him so damn scary.

Neither of those. Though I think Sephiroth's pretty bad-ass, he (along with the rest of the choices up top) pales in comparison to the Sith Lord formerly known as Anakin Skywalker!

Carnage (Spider-man)
Darth Vader (Star Wars)

In a less traditional sense, Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrance in The Shining scared the out of me, because he was a villain who didn't need fantasy powers or laser swords, he was just insane as hell.

Oh geez how could I forget one of my favorite villians of all time even before the FFXII ones, but after Kefka (in a time line comparison of liking em >.>) which is..... Darth Sidious....I mean he was another crazy evil dude. So awesome in episode III. So glad we got to see him fight for once.
Oh yeah and also Lex Luther from the new Superman movie was frickin' awesome too.

Meh. Some of my favorites that hadn't been mentioned:
From books:
Lord Voldemort - Harry Potter
Sauron - Lord of the Rings
Morgoth - The Silmarillion
Cyric - various Forgotten Realms novels
From movies:
Commodus - Gladiator
HAL - 2001
Imhotep - The Mummy movies
From cartoons:
Megatron/Galvatron - The Transformers
Skeletor - He-Man
MumRa - Thundercats
Dr. Claw - Inspector Gadget
Prince Lotor - Voltron
Serpentor - GI Joe
Disney villains:
Maleficent
From games:
Ganon(dorf)
Sarevok - Baldur's Gate 1
Two of my favorite villains are not so much diabolically evil as extremely selfish:
Jon Irenicus - Baldur's Gate 2
The Transcendent One - Planescape Torment

Out of the ones you listed, I'd say Sephiroth, but he's a video game villain, not really a movie villain (unless you consider his short appearance in FFVII AC). However, out of the movie villains, Darth Vader is probably the best overall pick. Darth Sidious may be more evil, but Darth Vader gets a lot more character development.
None of those clowns are worthy enough.
Dr. Doom is the best villian ever.

Dr. Doom is the best villian ever after NorthernChaosGod's three that is.

Hmm...the villains I can think of at the moment would be...
*The Prime Minister from 'V for Vendetta'
*That woman from 'Misery' (who kidnaps the author) - the things she did was sick!
*Agent Smith from 'The Matrix' Trilogy
*Jigsaw from 'Saw' - he makes me cringe...
They are the most...well ruthless of villains I can think of. But if anyone watches Bollywood films you'll find there's loads of villains that are even worse.
