Why should I pick either of those two over firefox when using osx? They don't seem to use extensions and they seemed very dumb when I tried to use them.

Camino uses the Mac-native Cocoa APIs as opposed to the non-native Gecko engine found in Firefox. Safari is very limited, almost minimalistic in its approach from what I've used, but is tied into OSX well, so if you need cross-usage like in iCal, then I would stick with Safari.

Firefox 3 for the Mac will be written Cocoa.

K so I'll just keep using firefox then. I really don't care for <del>looks</del>rendering or whatever, and would rather have as many of my extensions as I can get.

Safari is more integrated into the OS. Like how it auto-mounts and opens .dmg's when you download them.

Safari uses a different HTML engine than Firefox. Some sites that look wrong in Firefox may look different / better in Safari, and vice versa.

Not on my laptop it doesn't!

Then your laptop sucks!

Check under Safari > Preferences. It's not turned on by default.

No, my laptop is very beautiful and great... except you know, it burns my flesh if I put it in direct contact with my skin.

Yeah mine does that too. They had a wonderful design, but it only really works for hard flat surfaces that are wider than the laptop itself :|

That's why they're called notebooks and not laptops.
