It's amusing but also a total waste.

It reminds me of the guy who was doing that "I'll smash my old apple if you guys give me enough moneys for a new one!" when the old one could just be, say, donated to charity.

So it's good mindless entertainment, but there could have been a lot better uses for all that money.

Nothing funnier than muggings and shootings, that's for sure.

I've never found the "SmashMy[insert new thing]" videos to be all that funny or great or anything. It's just a waste of money that could have been used for something worthwhile.

That was a sweet costume though.

He probably had more fun smashing it than actually playing after all the launch title flops I witnessed. Although Resistance Fall of Man looks almost on par in the field of awesomeness as Half Life 2.

What is really stupid, was this guy had two on reserve bought the first one and sold it outside the store with way more than it's worth got back in land and bought his second one and went home.

On to the video....it was stupid. I was hoping people would actually be pissed and start scream and try to save the PS3. What actually occured was everyone watching thinking "Those guys just wasted $500 bones."

For the record I think people donate the money to these guys so that they are not wasting their real money.

That was retarded. Since most stores had a very limited supply of PS3's, that PS3 could have belonged to someone who was actually going to use it and play it.
