MSN live messenger shared folders.

My laptop did up until recently support shared folders for msn live messenger. I do a lot of file trading with people and this is great for me to use to get bigger files sent quickly. However I installed AVG free 7.5 and it buggered the system 32 files again :mad2: I had to use the 2 disc system restore to repair my system and it wiped out my files and settings. Eagerly I installed MSN live messenger again hoping to use the shared folders to quickly regain my lost music files and pictures from people. However upon installation and signing in I got a message saying "[contact] has tried to set up a sharing folder with you, however your computer does not currently support sharing folders. To get help on this problem click here." I clicked the help link and there was nothing that told me as to why my computer rejected the shared folders and it still does it every time I try and make one.

The laptop is a Toshiba Sattelite 1100. It runs XP sp2. Help anyone?
