is there a greater reason for me sitting here typing this message is there a greater reason for getting a job or money or is it all just to survive and do what our species have been doing for years is there a greater reason for anything we do or is it just so we dont realise that there is no reason that we are just here because we are and that dead or alive there isnt going to be much difference ?

No, there isn't.

Apart from reasons we give ourselves. Our blind emotions like love and hope.

What makes you think a member of eoff, would know what the meaning of life is?

Hey Now!!!! As long as I'm here, it's worth a shot asking.

Now... I don't know the answer.

Make your own reason.

You must have a reason or you wouldn't be alive. Even those who question it have a reason to question it.

Get a blanket a fork and a knife and go hiking and see how you like it. If you do, keep it up. If you don't, apply at walmart.

EDIT:
Welcome, friends! I knew you'd make it here, so I've prepared some suitable
entertainment for you!
How long are you going to let the destruction continue?
Kefka: I've tapped into the ultimate power. Observe...!
Kefka: Such magnificent power! You are like insects to me!
Kefka: I will exterminate everyone, and everything!
People will keep rebuilding the things you take from them!
Kefka: Then I'll destroy those too. Why do people rebuild things they know
are going to be destroyed? Why do people cling to life when they
know they can't live forever? Think how meaningless each of your
lives is!
It's not the net result of one's life that's important! It's the day-to-day
concerns, the personal victories, and the celebration of life... and love!
It's enough if people are able to experience the joy that each day can bring!
Kefka: And have you found your "joy" in this nearly dead world of ours?
Yes!
Terra: I know what love is...!
Locke: And I have learned to celebrate life... and the living.
Cyan: My family lives on inside of me.
Shadow: I know what friendship is... and family...
Edgar: It is my dream to build a kingdom in which I can guarantee freedom
and dignity.
Sabin: I have come to experience anew the love of my brother...
Celes: I've met someone who can accept me for what I am.
Strago: I have a special little Granddaughter!
Setzer: My friend's airship... and her love!
Mog: I have my friends here!
Kefka: This is sickening... You sound like chapters from a self-help
booklet! Prepare yourselves!
Kefka: Now, for my next trick, I will make you all... disappear!
Kefka, you don't know what you're doing! Stop!
Kefka: I command the greatest power in the universe! You are all helpless
before me!
Kefka: I will destroy everything... I will create a monument to
non-existence!
Life will go on! There will always be people, and dreams!
Kefka: No! I will hunt them down. I will destroy it all! Destroy! Destroy!
Destroy!!
We will not allow you to harm another living thing.
Kefka: Hee, hee, hee!! But what fun is destruction if no "precious" lives
are lost?
It's over, Kefka!

Kefka: Life... dreams... hope... Where'd they come from? And where are
they headed? These things... I am going to destroy!
The end comes... beyond chaos.

You're born to die. Some might argue that you're born to live, but that is not always the case. A lot of people prefer to disappear in life. Suppressing their true Self. That's not living, it's dying. I seem them all over the place, the walking dead.

I do not think everything in life is for a greater reason, but I believe that everything, even the small things are some how connected, in ways that we cannot always see.

Life is worth living. Or so I think. My reasons, *shrugs* I am too "ehh" right now to articulate them.

We exist to find our own meaning, even if there was some great meaning, we are free to choose whether we accept it or not. We all have something we hang onto, something that keeps us here. We may loose sight of it at times but it is always with us. For some of us, it is something we ourselves have yet to even consider. That's why we have to find it, or even make our own meaning. No one can say for sure why we are here, but I feel it is better to make the most of this time we are given.
