FFVIII Riddles, the attempting revival of a dead thread

Alright. It seems to me that somehow the original riddle thread has decayed into nonexistence, so I'm going to try and get it going once again. The rules are the same as before: you cannot start a new riddle until the previous one is solved. However, if the first riddle is not correctly answered within 12 hours of the riddle being posted, a new riddle can be posted. Are the rules clear enough? If so, then let it begin with this:

I hide in the shadows, waiting to strike.
I have no heart, but I use many on my oponents.
Slithering like a snake, and waving like a tide.
My claws do the talking while I cackle.

Hey, nice to see you again as well. I've been on and off here but I'm sort of getting some more free time to stop by. As for the riddle, you are correct. Easy ones always are good to start with to get things going. Your turn then if you have one Twilight. :)

I'm all for getting the riddles going again, but I fail to see the point of starting a new thread for it, since there is a thread for it already, however far down the list it is.

Oil Boyle. Its most likely wrong but I say because:

1st line.... I dont know, reminds me of ships for somereason.
2nd line.... how can oil have a be a boy or girl?
3rd line... made me think of oil and the sewers
4th line.... do u win a card after you fight them?

As I said its pretty far off but I hope it gets the ball rolling ;)

Heero, this is a disgrace. A clause saying that a riddle must be ignored simply due to no-one being bright enough to get it in 2 days, or 2 goes is ridiculous. Think of what would have happened to Thingfishes riddle if we all stopped bothering because it was too hard. Only reasons to stop a riddle should be
a) The riddler has not been on for a while
b) It is a fake riddle, or not related to FFVIII
If you REALLY want to make a easy riddle, Heero, then PM BoB as to whether or not to give mobiletype his own thread, like Thingfish. If not, live with it.

Personally, I say Ironclad, but i havent seen the other thread yet to judge.

Look, if people would come here and help to try and solve the riddle, it still wouldn't take that long even if it was hard. But with the limited number of others coming to see this, it will take a lot longer and thus have the same fate as the first thread. I do not want that to happen. If you want ot revisit this riddle and try to solve it along the way, be my guest, but I do not want people to stop caring and not come anymore just because of one riddle that no one can give the correct answer to.

Correct thinking but wrong answer. The answer is immune to bio

'On paper I'm unisexed' seems to refer to some of ambiguity in whether the answer is masculine or feminine

By combining the fact of resistance to bio and ambiguity of gender, i can only assume its not a machine. Reference to blood supports this.The pacific line makes me think of possibly the name of a car or something, possibly japanese. No idea about that.
The Blue Dragon is resistant to poison, and his fury fragments are good for weapons.. There are a lot of poison resistant enemies! Malboro?

Does it have anything to do with the Deep Sea Research Center (DSRC not being the answer itself)? It's mostly located under the sea, and I suppose the flashing of the blue light which you have to watch in the first room could be interpreted as "ripples".

Hmm, Oilboyle? I'm not sure if they cause ripples before "pouncing up" from the oil, but I think they might. Also, they're more of the "crawling" type that you mention.
