Since it's getting to be that time of year, I thought, why not ask this?
For me, the Griswolds never seem to disappoint. I pop in Christmas Vacation every year just to get me into that holiday spirit. Best Christmas movie ever.

It's hard to believe you can stream this entire movie (http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-4867975537967299162&q=A+Wonderful+Life).

Nightmare Before Christmas! :)
A Christmas Carol. Muppet's Edition.
Home Alone is another great film from my childhood, as is Toys, starring Robin Williams.

I happen to think that TV specials like Charlie Brown's Christmas, Frosty, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas are the real "Christmas Classics." Throw in the claymation Rudolf in there as well.
I also can appreciate many of the variations on Dicken's A Christmas Carol and on the ballet/story the Nutcracker.
As movies go, I'm not sure there are any that strike me as "great" Christmas movies. My favorite would be A Christmas Story.

- Home Alone (1 & 2), there's a great christmas feel to those movies.
- The Nightmare Before Christmas
- It's a Wonderful Life

A Christmas Story or It's a Wonderful Life. Both fantastic movies.

It's A Wonderful Life, The Muppet Christmas Carol and of course Bad Santa, one of the most hilariously offensive comedies there's been in the last few years XD
