Carol of the Bells. Especially when performed by TSO.

"White Christmas" always gets me in the mood - and I also like Wham's "Last Christmas"... mainly because it's been around for so many years that I just naturally associate it with Christmas and all the cosiness.

I like the Carpenter's entire selection of Christmas Music. It used to play almost non-stop in our house during the Christmas season when I was a grammar-schooler.

My favorites:
"First Snowfall" and "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!"

Also "Carol of the Bells", which is usually only played instrumentally, though also sounds good when the words are actually sung.

Yep, the TSO version is awesome.

"Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!".

Oh yeah, that's a great song as well.

Give the man/lady a prize for they are correct! :) - such a wonderful song.

I also love Bruce Springsteen's version of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town and pretty much all of Low's mini-album of Christmas songs (especially Just Like Christmas and their gorgeous version of Little Drummer Boy). I've even gone insane and want to buy the boxset of Sufjan Stevens' Christmas songs out next week (mainly as he's a great singer).

blink-182 - I Won't Be Home For Christmas, but if your after classics, then, yes, Fairytale Of New York

Also East 17 - Stay Another Day has been my favourite Christmassy song! I think I will download that this Christmas. Someone keeps making me listen to "all I want for christmas" by mariah carey *runs* XD I don't really like classics anymore...

Who is TSO? I haven't heard of them. BTW, Carol of the Bells is a great song! I like it with the vocals.

I'd have to agree an a capella "Carol of the Bells" is amazing. I'll take instrumental too though.

Oh, and "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "Sleigh Ride" are great as well.

"Stay another day" isn't a Christmas song. It was released near christmas but has nothing to do with christmas it's self. Same goes for that FGTH song before anyone mentions it.

I have no idea of it's name but I like the song the Pouges (Sp) did.

I also like "Feed The World". Which was sung by various people.

The 'Feed The World' song is called Do They Know It's Christmas by the way - just me being pedantic :) - and the Pogues song (as already said) is called Fairytale of New York.

Uhh, it's a Christmas song to me, thank you, it was a Christmas number 1 in my childhood AND IT HAS SLEIGH BELLS. So I'll choose it.

I don't have a particular Christmas song I enjoy as most are good, but only during the Christmas season, otherwise they can get on my nerves, but I have plenty of winter songs: "Let It Snow, Let In Snow, Let It Snow" and "Baby, It's Cold Outside" come straight to mind.

Take care all.

TSO is the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans_Siberian_Orchestra)NorthernChaosGod mentions a few posts up. They do electronic/metal/rock remakes of classical Christmas songs. Their "Carol Of The Bells" is one of the best versions out there IMHO.

I like that song. I also like In the Bleak Midwinter (a hymn) and Christmas at Ground Zero.

My favorite Christmas song is probably one called "Tulkoon Joulu", which means, "May the Christmas come". It's quite a beautiful Christmas song.

"All I want for Christmas" is alright when I'm in the right mood. At least the part, "I just want you for my own, more than you could ever know."
