That's right, laddies :holmes: These 3 Villains of the Video Game Industry are widely held in contempt by most of the Internet Gaming Universe.

Who do you hate the most (or like the least for all you pacifists out there :laughing:) out of these 3 Dastardly Creatures?

Bill Gates?
Jack Thompson?
Ken Kutaragi?

My vote goes for old Ken Kutaragi who has presided over a catalog of disasters over the last couple of months regarding the PlayStation 3, AND because of his remorseless and shamelessly arrogant attitude towards both customers and competitors alike.

Thompson. Ken Kutaragi is just an exec doing what they do. I don't have much against him, really. He may behave like an ass, but that's almost to be expected in a position of power. Bill Gates donates billions of dollars to charity, which makes any good deeds the other two perform look like pittance in comparison.

Bill Gates has, as Azar said, donated billions to charity. I've seen firsthand some of the work that he and his wife have done to better communities in this area (I live in Seattle, near where Microsoft is based). Ken Kutaragi's just making what appears to be poor decisions as the company exec.

Jack Thompson is a vitriolic nutjob. He wins easily.

Kutaragi is more entertaining than anything else. He's very much the gaming industry's spiritual successor to Hiroshi Yamauchi.

I don't see anything wrong with Bill Gates, and Ken Kutaragi, who is probably the president of Sony's gaming division or something, probably hasn't done anything wrong either.

When I saw this thread on the forums front page it was all "Bill Gates vs Jack Thompson..." so I thought it might be something interesting about Bill Gates sticking up for freedom of speech in games or something. Thanks a lot for the pointless thread, Devil Man!

Bill Gates will probably go down as one of the greatest philanthropist of all time. You can hardly say that no one likes him when he thousands and thousands of people he's helped would probably say otherwise.

Anyway, I don't really hate any of these people but my vote goes to Thompson cause he's an ass.

Thompson may be an idiot, Ken Kutaragi may not look through his speeches, and Bill Gates may blunder lots, but I don't know enough about any of them to decide who's worst/best. However, if this is a contest on who is most useless, I'd say Jack Thompson.

Actually it was Bill and his friends but he forced/backstabbed his friends out of microsoft so he could take control...and he may "donate" loads of money to charity...but how many celebs do you know that do the same thing to raise their public profile and are just doing it for selfish reasons?

well i define something as good not by the actaul deed but by the motives....its like if someone commited suicide i would think "idiot!" but if they did it for the good of their country because they possessed military secrets i would think "Hero!" its the same with this....giving with no ulterior motive = "good!"......giving with a selfish motive = "arse!"
