So instead of printing out the name of all the games that are backward compatible, Sony decided to implement a search system instead. Also some games do have problems working properly with the PS3. Once you do a search, underneath it should say if anything goes wrong with the game while it's being played on the PS3.

Just a note: Quite a few Final Fantasies are affected with small problems. Go on the site and look for yourself.

Wow,

Anthology (FFV)
Chronicles (FFIV)
FF IX
Origins (FFII)
FF VII
FF VIII
FF XI

All of those have issues. Granted some aren't very severe but I would have thought that given the extreme popularity of the Final Fantasy titles they would have tested these games prior to release.

Well the one thing I do think (and maybe I'm being optimistic) is that I really do think Sony will address most of the issues. BC on the PS2 was pretty well done and I think that they'll want to keep that rep with the PS3, esp since their BC isn't the only one on the market. Granted BC on the 360 sucks, but the VC on the Wii so far seems to be pretty flawless. However that makes sense as the VC titles have to be purchased so if there were issues with a VC title, Nintendo would hear about it.

They will fix it, I suppose, but for the moment no PS3 for me, that's for sure.

be happy. They already fixed a few in patches.

And at least it's better then the mess that was Xboxs 360's "Backwards Compatibility"

I would have to agree with you on that one. Plus I'm sure it's no easy task to make the system both backward compatible with the PS2 as well as the PS1. The 360 did a half/ass job and they only had to make it compatible with one system.

Nothings wrong with any of my wild arms, so I'm happy.

My Silent Hills and my DDRs are safe. :D

Most of these issues are minor, although there are many severe graphical corruptions for some games.

Which is actually kind of interesting considering Wild Arms had lockup issues on the PS2 (at least with the slim one)
