hey guys you know at the end of that castle beginning with K, i forget something like Kaluna or something. anyway when it is collapssing there's supposed to be a boss, called death claw, am i rite???

well i didn't meet him. and now he is missing from my bestiary. is this some sort of bug or is he an optional boss? i'm playing the GBA version.

The first time I played it on FF Anthology, I didn't see him once. I've seen him in every subsequent playthrough since though. He shows up in the form of a regular soldier and then morphs into the FAMOUS BOUNTY HUNTER DEATH CLAW!!

And he also spawns in The Rift - Castle Area and in the bonus dungeon.

I've never NOT encountered him. That said, I'm not that obsessive about clearing out Karnak castle, and usually leave with a rather comfy time frame.

It's possible to kill him before he gets a chance to transform into his troo form.
