Picking my favorite one is going to be hard, but it's probably either No Need for Tenchi! or Ranma 1/2, or maybe YuYu Hakusho.

Tough question. Let's say Death Note.

My favorite of all time must be Battle Angel Alita. It exhibits beautiful artwork and one of the most memorable stories of anything, anywhere, ever.

Berserk, because the story is awesome and the characters are more awesome and the artwork is even better still, and the fight scenes are amazing. Of course, I've read very little manga, so I'm sure there's better out there, but it's still fucking great.

I'm glad someone mentioned Berserk, actually. Some of its imagery is truly beyond compare. And while a plot about demons killing and eating people in the shadows of a medieval society could seem hackneyed at first, the visceral execution is able to perfectly draw out the potential of the concept to be frightening on a deep and primal level.

I love the way it slowly draws you into a twisted fantasy world. At first it appears to be a fairly normal place, and then you slowly get exposed to more and more demons that do nothing but become more disturbing. Plus, Guts actually gets pretty banged up, which is something you don't see very often with the hero. His attempts to recuse Casca from display the most frightening level of devotion I've ever seen in any form of media.

I read a little bit of Vandel Buster.

I'm not really one who reads much manga, if at all, but I'd usually check into the manga forms of the anime I watch occasionally.

Welcome to the NHK is pretty good, and I've read a couple of chapters of Death Note.
