Do you click the log out button when you're leaving EoFF?

I sometimes do.

I close my browser, no logging out for me.

Nope. Unless it's a public machine.

I have all cookies set to delete every time I close Firefox. That logs me out.

Yamaneko

Isn't that kind of annoying?

No, I'd have to log back in, and it'd be effort. Effort is for chumps.

Not at home, I don't. I actually don't log out of anything at home.

Isn't that kind of annoying?

It's better than the alternative of every company in the world tracking every site I visit. Also I tend to leave my browser open for days at a time so I don't notice.

And it's a good way to remember your passwords, being forced to retype them every couple days. Have you ever gone months without being logged out, and then you suddenly something logs you out and you can't remember your password? Never happens to me.

Yamaneko

That never happens to me either because I have a good memory for that sort of thing. :) And I only allow cookies from a handful of sites that I know I need to login to, the rest get blocked.

Man, I remember making this thread, like, a year ago. Good times. :p And no, I don't. Filthy button. Best avoided.

I do when I am on not mine computers :)

Xaven
12-02-2006, 06:29 AM
Yes, I do use the button.

Unfortunately, I get timed out a lot of times. 25 minutes is too short of a time to be kicked out. :D At least you can't stay logged in indefinitely anymore.

I sometimes do it if I have alot of time, if I don't I usually leave it and just close the browser.
As my server goes off when electricity goes off as well, *sigh*, so I usually don't have the time to log off which is sad. :(

I don't log out...ever.

If I'm on a more public lab computer at school, I simply clear the cookies and history when I'm done. It achieves the same effect. :)

Nah. I don't even bother when I'm on public machines. So if I ever go insane and start posting rubbish (*ahem*), then it's most definitely not me, and this is most definitely not a subtle yet cunning ruse for me to post rubbish and then blame it on someone else.

Only if I log on from school, which is kinda rare 'cause their network is really slow. Otherwise, no, I do not log out. I actually don't remember my passwords for most places because I prefer to stay logged in. And every time my cookies are deleted I have to reset my passwords if I can't find the notebook that I wrote them down in (or if I can't find that particular page).

Never hit log off. I prefer to come back and not have to log back on. I'm like that everywhere. Its as far as people getting on my comp though. you need a pass to get onto the account and an pass to get off the screensaver that comes on if I'm not on for over min.

So I'm a suppository of useless information and Yams has a pornographic memory. Anyone else smell a crime-fighting team?

Someday, when I lose interest in EoFF :o I will go into an internet cafe or something and leave this account logged in. Hopefully much hilarity will ensue.

I don't Log Out when I'm browsing EoFF on my own computer. However, if I'm on a public computer, such as the ones in the university, I log myself out.

I never log out. And often times I leave the browser running, so it doesn't even matter at all. It's quite convinient.
