Now its a veery simple thread.

Throughout the 90s, and the ever emerging RTS gaming, there were two giants in the field.

The Fantabulous Westwood (have mercy on its soul and employees, shut down by the devils know as EA) brought us the classical games of Tiberian Sun/Dawn, and Red Alerts, all encompassed in the almighty Command and Conquer franchise.

In the other corner, there is the Magnificent Blizzard, whose captivating battle for the world between Orcs and Humans kept us up many a night. They also brought us the galactic struggle of Starcraft, which sucked away most of our hours before the new millenium.

So, which is better? C&C or the Craft games?

Answer in any way, which would win combat wise, build wise, style, popularity, sheer awesomness, or simply what you didnt like or didnt like about the games!

and in true habit, ill respond after this gets rollin ^^

I've never played either, but I'm a huge Diablo II fan, also by Blizzard, so I'm going to choose Blizzard anyway like a huge piece of fanboy garbage.

I love Command & Conquer like Joel hates his life, but I'ma have to go with Blizzard here on the strength of SC.

This may change when C&C 3 comes out; Sawyer in NOD = yes.

I think I've always appreciated the nature of the C&C games moreso than Blizzard's games, but I definitely respect what Blizzard has done.

And yeah, it's a real shame to see such a player as Westwood get bought out by EA. Total shame.

Of those two, Blizzard. I'm more of a fan of Ensemble Studios Age of games though.

Even though I really don't care for Blizzard games, I can't deny the fact that Blizzard had a bigger success than Westwood. It also sucks that Westwood was eaten by EA. I'm still going to vote for Westwood though, cause I love them.

I love both companies and was really into Command and Conquer and Warcraft II as a kid. I've always preferred the C&C gameplay, but you can't deny that getting swallowed up by EA is a less successful fate than creating one of, if not the, most successful MMOs in existence.

I used to love them equally, though I did like playing C&C more. Now I can love neither, as Westwood is gone, and Blizzard has created something I loathe.

Starcraft wins at life.

All others are fail!*

*With the exception of the Diablo series and the Warcraft series, including World of Warcraft.

I've always loved Blizzard games. The C&C series was good, but I just never really got into it for some reason. Possibly due to lack of access.

This would be an even vote for me....if I had played the command and conquer games...but I haven't. I have played warcraft 3 though, so I'm forced to vote for it.

I enjoyed the Blizzard games much more. And Blizzard's ability to weave humour into their stories and characters is great.

And Westwood doesn't have Burgercraft either. Although it was an April Fool's joke... but the fact remains!

Westwood's games are good, but Blizzard's win hands down.

Aww...this makes me sad.....

but, being raised on AOE/C&C, i cannot deny blizzards good games, but I think the FMVs and the building style outclasses em. And for starcraft, my repoly would have to be the same as BTV

Blizzard for sure.

I'm going with Westwood, because with out Dune II, neither Warcraft or Command & Conquer would have been made. As it was the inspiration for both games.
