This is a discussion of what you think about the game's story and graphics. I think that the graphics are hashed off since X X's graphics from the cutscenes and environments were much more beautiful than the ones in XII. The FMV's also take the cake in X. the ones in XII look kind of clayish like. in X they seemed almoast realistic.

As for the story of the game, ion the begginning it pulled me in, but once you were in the middle say after you left Rabanastre once you finally received all your party members that's when the game's story seem to have fell. Reall I think it might be due to all the fields you have to go through before you reach a new area for example. After the Phon Coast, the Upchita Uplands, then the Sochen Cave, then the dungeon that's inside, then you get to Archades. But to me overall I wasn't in touch with XII's storyline as much as all the other FF games I played.

Graphically I thought the game was astoundingly beautiful. The environments were enormous with little loading all things considered. I also found the cutscenes to be very gorgeous as well. The amount of detail in the game leaves my jaw on the floor...And not just the unheard number of NPCs and NPC actions, but the small details in the ground, walls, ceilings, sky, and the grand architecture in the game. The whole thing was amazing to me.

Story wise...Well, I've said how I feel about that a few times in some other threads so....I'll leave that to the rest of you vultures to go at it :p

For the sake of brevity:

Graphics: were astounding and really quite awe-inspiring. Though at times it appeared somewhat grainy, there are many enviremonts that are truly beautiful and express the deep thought and work put into creating a whole new world for fans to immerse themselves in.

FMVS: were shorter, on average, than that of X. However, X's were not always on the scale that XII's were (see the opening sequences of battle and the like). really, I don't think one or the other has the "better" FMVs.

Story: they're almost completely opposites. One is close and personal, whereas the other's is of political intrigue and the like. Which one did I enjoy more? X's, because I am a sap, but the deviationfrom such a story in XII was quite refreshing.

I love the story and the graphics! :) :cat: I also enjoy the soundtrack, even though it's a bit repetitive at times.

i think the graphics were awesome i thought the FMV's were better then FFX's in that there movements seem realistic. graphics looked the same to me movements different. early on in FFXII you see them running through the crowd the way they run forward stop turn stumble a little and all that it just seemed realistic. as far as the cutscenes though id say FFX was better i think FFX was more blocky in the cut scenes but i prefer the blocks over the clay. some of the scenery is better then FFX's and some of FFX's were better then FFXII

story wise i think is just plain great. it is more on the political level which might make it so the older crowd would like it more. but then Vaan's backround with his brother is a nice emotional touch to the game. same with ashe's back story with rasler is quite interesting. and balthier dont know much of his background but his personality is cool. and basch has quite an important role in the game that is quite interesting also. fran and panelo are all right im not crazy about them but then again im not even done with the game. things could change.

that was the best i coudl do explaining how i like the story without spoilers.
