I'm writing a novelization of FF8, and I would imagine that the information provided in this book would provide great background information. Is it available in English? Or have there been any fan translations that are available on the 'Net?

Well, I was mainly looking for technical information. Like in this forum's FAQ, it says that the guidebook states that gunblades don't actually fire bullets, so this means that I have to go back and change many things in the current chapter of my fic that I'm writing. Things like this, and character background info. (Though I'm basically making up my own pasts for the characters and favor them over anything Square could possibly tell me.)
