View Full Version : Dark Cloud cheats

Dark Cloud in the DS version just kicked my ass. I even defeated the four sub-bosses and freed the Dark Warriors, all four of them. I went to go fight Dark Cloud and manage to do some damage via throwing shurikens, but then it whips out a particle beam and does 9999 damage to all four of my characters (all leveled 60, mind you) Is there something I can do to survive this?

go in all the teliporters oround the senter one and in each place is another teliporter the brings u to a cristel. if u beet these bosses you will get the 4 dark knights on your teem. the go to the senter teliporter.
go to the dark clowd. after talking with it the dark knight run in to it. wich makes every thing easer. so you can now win.

I already said I beat the bosses and got the Dark Warriors freed...

You must be talking about the first battle with Dark Cloud. Your actually suppose to lose this battle, there's no way to win. After she hits you for 9999, you'll be reborn again so to speak (like in IV and IX), then you get to fight her again for real.

No the last boss in FFIII is Dark Cloud.


You must be talking about the first battle with Dark Cloud.

Nah he's on the second, hence the dark warriors and 4 crystal bosses bit.

But anywhos I've never played the DS version of III as of yet, but wow is all I can say to thier giving it more then it's Dark Wave attack (I think that's what it was called at least) from the original.

All I could say though is, if it's using an obscenely powerful attack then just shell/protect for it and try and debuff the boss as best you can (well as best you can for a final boss fight at least.) Might bring a Dragoon with you to try and jump from it also.

Beyond that I have no real advice vs the DS version of Dark Cloud. Just trial and error I would guess.

I can't help you much. :(

Flare Wave never did 9999 damage when I played FF3. :(

How many turns do you get in before it uses Flare Wave (or Particle Beam)?

That seems bizarre. I don't know why that would happen.

Does everyone have the best equipment, adequate job levels, and Ribbons? I don't understand why it would still do 9,999 damage after you freed all four Warriors of the Dark.

Let yourself die and then the Dark Warriors will come and weaken the Cloud of Darkness so that you can actually do damage and not die immediately.

When i did it i didnt even have the best weapons in the game because i dont have Wi-fi or w/e, and my guys were only 59 and 60. The particle beam only hit me for like 1500 or so when it went off. I killed all 4 dark warriors. Maybe yeah like the other guys said could be bugged. Or maybe you missed one of the dark warrior? /shrug Just try again and hope for the best :P

Are you saying you're supposed to lose to her twice, i.e. after beating Zande and after freeing all the Dark Warriors, and only then you can beat her?

Before you fight the Cloud of Darkness for the second time, do you see the scene where the four Warriors of Darkness run into the Cloud of Darkness and die? If not, you probably haven't defeated all four of them. You should have fought Cerberus, Ahriman, Twin Dragon and Echidna. Otherwise I would say your game is bugged but I don't see how unless all that junk surrounding the dupe trick isn't false, although I am fairly sure it is.
