I won a 150 gift card (so it can't be used to purchase a stick of gum and have 149$ change), and I don't know what to do with it.

Variables:

- my gaming computer is good enough for the game I play, world of warcraft
- I don't play other mulltiplayer online games
- I download a lot of things, so movies is out of the equation
- I already bought my brother a 150$ light saber (in hindsight should've waited)
- Nintendo Wii doesn't have enough games to my liking yet
- I don't like PS3s

My current working ideas is to buy 5 warcraft game cards or sell the card to somebody and spend the money elsewhere. My brother says to buy a stereo system. I'm going to look for a stereo speaker system for my cd player. Otherwise it's going to wow game cards.

I bought FFVA today. :excited:

I would wait till Twilight Princess comes out for Gamecube, which is next Friday. Or maybe it's out in Canada already, I don't know.

Does it have to be Best Buy? Their merchandise is either broken, half-broken, or lame.

Don't buy anime from Best Buy. They have that Americanized dubbed crap.

You're better off saving it towards a big purchase- like a digital camera (they have better deals on their dicas online)... pay part with the giftcard- the rest with your money. $150 doesn't get anything long-lasting... just videogames or dvds (which isn't a bad idea either ^^;;;)

The Adventures of Brisco County Jr - The Complete Series. I believe it's $100.

Just blow the rest on stuff that'll rot your teeth in the impulse aisle.

Well, I'm not sure if what I'd want would be under $150. I would probably buy some supplies for my camera and camcorder.

I think I need a good movie collection. Or some video games, just whatever I happen to find.

Yeah the problem is that I don't have any consumables I need, like dvds or etc (I buy them elsewhere), and the Wii won't be purchased until spring 2007 when new games come out.

I ended up giving it to my parents who will buy another usb hard drive.

Break it up into 3 50$ gift certificates and give them away to cousins/siblings for Christmas.

Most of the time you poeple say the amercan version sucks it virtually the same, just eddited and some name changes.

A few exceptions yes, but they have plenty of great Anime.

But yess, put your money towards a bigger savings.

Yes, "us people" do say such things- not only because we truly think the repackaging sucks, but because they split up the series into discs with few episodes and overcharge you for the whole lot. ^^

Why would I pay $20 per 3-episode disc of dubbed Viz releases?

Usually you get 4, maybe five actually. Not many run off 4 anymore. Plus there are sets so you don't pay as much.

You can also just switch it Jap with english subtitles to avoid bad voice acting. But what exactly is repackaging?

CDs. I mean, that's, like, 10-15 CDs. That's totally awesome.

Now I'm curious. Are you saying that music bought at best Buy will somehow be on lower quality CDs? I don't see any way that's possible, but it's something to know if it's true, since I buy a lot of CDs there. They cost less. Ha! Is there a reason?
