For the PS2.

I was thinking of Shadow of the Colossus or Mortal Kombat Armageddon.

But I need suggestions. I'm going to GameStop today.

I already have (so don't suggest)

FFVII Dirge of Cerberus
Final Fantasy XII
Tomb Raider Legend
Naruto Uzumaki Chronicles

Preferably action with swords or guns. I don't like games with Zoid/Gundam-like themes.

Thanks.

Shadow of the Colossus will not disappoint.

If hilarious amounts of blood and frontal nudity don't bother you, get God of War. Easily one of the best PS2 titles available.

Shadow of the Colossus is one of the best games on the system. Buy it. Although if you're just going for swords or guns, the Devil May Cry collection or God of War are good choices.

Shadow of the Colossus. There are few games that top this. The fact that you even need to ask whether or not to get this, and want help deciding between this or MK Armageddon shows that you are woefully unaware of its brilliance. Go buy it. Now.

Yeah seriously, not to get your expectations up TOO high, but Shadow of the Colossus is in my top 5 all time favourite games.

Get Ico before you get SOTC. Much better game.

Because your opinion constitutes fact.

I personally think that Okami>Shadow of the Collosus>MK Armageddon

They removed individual fatalites, the best part of the game.

Resident Evil 4.

Devil May Cry 1-3

God of War

Okami

Shadow of the Colossus

-Pretty much the same ones everyone else mentioned, but they are all A+ games.

Judging by your other games I would probably say Resident Evil 4, Devil May Cry or God of War.

I don't know what Shadow of Colossus is like, but I'm feeling drawn towards the game myself.

Devil May Cry 1 or 3 (2 is kind of lame and unnecessary) and definitely God of War. Resident Evil 4 is also an excellent game. The Prince of Persia games are great too, but be warned, they're very challenging.

I tried MK: Armageddon...not that great, the fatalaties thing is really weird and there are better fighting games out there.

Bully, Okami, Midnight Club 3 dub Editiion Remix or Street Fighter Anthology.

Oh Levian, you don't know what you're missing.

I assume you have Final Fantasy X? I also recommend Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater and Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, I cannot stress how good this game is. A wonderful cast, excellent VA, some of the best boss fights in the series, an intriguing and well written plot about the meaning behind patriotism, and you get to fight guards with a fork:eek:

Shadow of the Colossus and Ico are both brilliant. Shadow of the Colossus has the best boss fights outside of an MGS game hands down. You will be amazed what kind of strategies you have to incorporate in order to beat them.

Guilty Gear X2 if you want an excellent 2d fighting game with a brilliant soundtrack.

'An action game with swords' seems to describe Devil May Cry 3 pretty well. I would also suggest 'Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner' just to counter your 'anti-gundam/zoids' theme. It has swords, *and* is made by the same guy who birthed Metal Gear Solid. It's a great, great game.
