Inspired by Avarice-ness' post in this (http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?p=2034332#post2034332) thread, I have invented the Final Fantasy Fashion Awards! Here you choose your favourite outfit in each of these categories

1. Coolest Outfit
2. Most Practical Outfit
3. Most Boring Outfit
4. Most Impractical Outfit
5. Best Formal Outfit*
6. Best Uniform**

*This is basically the outfits the characters wear on special occasions, like Celes' Opera dress, or Rinoa's dance dress etc. This includes the Songstress dress, because you only have to wear it in the concerts.

**Basically any uniform, from soldiers to SeeDs to Black Mages to anything worn by lots of random people.

So guys, post who you think is the best dressed in each of these categories, and post reasons for your choice. Happy posting!

Coolest Outfit - Galbadian Soldier (doesn't need a reason - costume speaks for itself + )
Most Practical Outfit - Zell (uh I don't know what practical means * )
Most Boring Outfit - Zell's mom (nothing in FF8 looks boring but this is least adventurous)
Most Impractical Outfit - Edea (that thing behind her head?)
Best Formal Outfit* - SeeD uniform (*)
Best Uniform** - Galbadian Soldier (+)

You know, reasons for why you voted for certain outfits wouldn't hurt.

1. Coolest Outfit- Ashe (FFXII)
I really like her design. It's kind of a hardass-sexy hybrid. It was very complex and yet not overboard, and it has this sort of "white/red/gold theme" that makes her seem nice and regal.

2. Most Practical Outfit- Locke(FFVI)
What can I say, the guy has like a jacket and pants. What more does a thief need? He even rocks the bandana and keeps that hair out of his face.

3. Most Boring Outfit-Steiner(FFIX)
Don't get me wrong, I love Steiner and all, but knight armor is knight armor.

4. Most Impractical Outfit-Lulu(FFX)
Lulu's outfit is actually one of my favorites, but running around in it would be traumatic. But boy is it memorable. This was a toss-up between Lulu and Quistis for me, as both seem highly uncomfortable if not awesome anyway.

5. Best Formal Outfit-Cloud's Trannie Alter Ego (FFVII)
I hope this counts in this category :hahaha: Cloud gets his woman on and dawns the dress. What can I say, tis lovely.

6. Best Uniform-White Mages
The White Mage cloak and such is yummy to me. Goes well with the healing aspect and is very iconic.

1. Coolest Outfit- Setzer Gabbiani (amano design) just goddamn:eek:
2. Most Practical Outfit- Edgar and Cyan (amano design) armor would be useful, but not plate mail, their outfits give off the illusion of giving them flexibility in combat.
3. Most Boring Outfit- Aerith and Selphie, a sundress?! lord we're trying to save the world, not go on a Sunday afternoon picnic:rolleyes2

5. Best Formal Outfit- Celes' opera dress or Squall's formal wear from the dance.

I've played FFVI-VIII, X, X-2, and currently playing XII, so my decisions are based on those games...

1. Coolest Outfit - Amano's Locke is really nice
2. Most Practical Outfit - ummm, Laguna? Sorry, can't really think of any right now :p
3. Most Boring Outfit - FF8 Cid (being the head of the Garden, there was a lot of potential for him to have an interesting outfit, I thought, and a sweater vest...isn't)
4. Most Impractical Outfit - tie between Vaan, Lulu, and Edgar (exposed chest for the first two, and just generally being a really noticeable and regal outfit for the third)
5. Best Formal Outfit - I really liked Rinoa's dress (if only it'd been a little bit longer :p). Simple, yet elegant. Ashe's funeral dress was pretty too.
6. Best Uniform - Turks :D

[Dell]

1. Coolest Outfit - Penelo (FFXII) (I'm in love with this outfit and think its cool)
2. Most Practical Outfit - Vayne (FFXII) (Usable in anything! :jess:)
3. Most Boring Outfit - Kuja (FFIX) (Yes and especially his trance form)
4. Most Impractical Outfit - Lulu (FFX) (Running around like normal people in this outfit....)
5. Best Formal Outfit - Cloud (FFVII) (You know why)
6. Best Uniform - Black Mage! (Cute!)

[Twilight Edge]

Coolest Outfit: I say Sephiroth, black and white goes well together with a long-ass sword.

Most Practical Outfit: Zell, he shows the spirit of a teen.

Most Boring Outfit: Kuja, a......thong. *coughnuffsaidcough*.

Most Impractical Outfit: Seymour. Not only does it expose his chest, it looks like a dress and we know Seymour is a trans in the English version(don't get me wrong, the Japanese voice actor gave him a very manly voice).

Best Formal Outfit: SeeD uniform hands down.

Best Uniform: Turks. Need more saying?

Coolest Outfit: Steiner's outfit. It rattles :D
Most Practical Outfit: Auron's outfit. Who else can carry their drink into battle ;)
Most Boring Outfit: Garnet's Spandex. Its so bland...
Most Impractical Outfit: Steiner's. Its a suit of armour!
Best Formal Outfit*: Yuna's songstress. Its cute.
Best Uniform**: SeeD, the almost military like nature

2. Most Practical Outfit: Squall

4. Most Impractical Outfit: Rikku (X-2)

Coolest outfit: Beatrix's, it's elegant and feminine, and looks pretty comfortable to move in as she fights.
Most practical outfit: I'm partial to Ingus's freelancer outfit. It's simple, yet it has some pieces of armour for protection.
Most boring outfit: FFI Black Belt's outfit. Practical for a martial artist, maybe, but oh so plain...
Most impractical outfit: I'm hesitating between Lulu's (if only because I'm... er... sharing some of her assets, and I've worn a corset before and I almost suffocated without even MOVING around) and X-2 Rikku's, too frilly and bright for a thief.
Best formal outfit: Celes's opera gown. 'Nuff said.
Best uniform: SeeD uniform, agreed.

Coolest Outfit: I like Squall's, four belt power!

Most Pratical: I dunno... Larsa?

Most Boring: Cyan's, just boring.

Most Impratical: Zidane's (You have a belly shirt, so to cover your stomach, you use... tape?) And, Kuja (Metal underwear and robe? Ugh!)

Best Formal: Celes's Gown

Best Uniform: SeeD, of course!

Well, going by FF IV, VI, IX, and XII (and a bit of X)...

Coolest outfit: Blank.
His giant headband is pretty sweet, and the rest kinda complements it.

Most practical outfit: Cecil, as a Dark Knight.
Big suit of armor. That's all there is to it.

Most boring outfit: See above.

Most impractical outfit: Fran.
Running around in the jungle with high heels? Yeah, that's smart.

Best formal outfit: Celes' opera dress.

Best uniform: Palace guards' suit from Chrono Trigger.

1. Yuna (FFX-2) - it's just such a fresh change from the previous one PLUS she looks mega hot in it.
2. Tifa (FFVII:AC) - love it. Seems to be simply made for fighting. Check out those sneakers...
3. Fujin (FFVIII) - it just stinks. Stupid blue uniform... And that eyepatch... Yuck!
4. Rosso (DoC:FFVII) - I mean, what's with the long furry cape?
5. Squall's uniform (FFVIII) - what can I say? It's very nice.
6. The Black Mage outfit - it OWNS!!!! That pointy hat is simply awesome. I always draw black mages whenever I'm bored during classes...

Larsa is my favourite FF12 character and his outfit is cool

Most practical outfit: Rikkus in X2.I mean when it's hot around she doesn't have any problemes and whwn it's cold she always has her scarf lol

Most boring outfit: Vaan

2. Most Practical Outfit: Tifa AC (It seems to fit in with her martial arts skills and lets her move around freely.)
3. Most Boring Outfit: Aeris (It's just pink and icky)
4. Most Impractical Outfit: Kuja (Would you really walk into a rainy city dressed like that?)
5. Best Formal Outfit: Garnet's dress in the opening scene(It looks like the sort of thing a princess hould wear while also showing of her body a little)
6. Best Uniform: Quistis's instructor uniform (It gives her a look of authority and makes her look pretty)

2. Most Practical Outfit- Practicality and Game character clothing don't mix!!! But for the sake of irony, Lulus belt dress.
3. Most Boring Outfit- Quistis' clothes
4. Most Impractical Outfit- Yunalesca? lol
5. Best Formal Outfit- Yuna's wedding dress
6. Best Uniform- I haven't played 12 yet, but them judge armours look pretty sex.

Coolest outfit: Vivi's (I don't know why, I just like it) or Yuna's.

Most Practical: Locke's outfit. Simple, yet effective, I say.

Most Boring: Barret's in FF7. I just find it so snore-inducing.

Most Impractical: Aerith's, Edea's and Lulu's outfits. How can they run around and fight in those long dresses?

Best Formal Wear: Celes's opera dress, definitely. Very pretty, perfect for the opera.

Best Uniform: Either Cloud's soldier uniform or the typical Black and White Mage's uniforms.

4. Most Impractical Outfit - Rikku's outfit, hands down. You live in the middle of the desert, girl. You do not want to wear nothing. That outfit is the guaranteed heat stroke.
5. Best Formal Outfit - Rinoa's dress.
6. Best Uniform - Turks (SeeD isn't even in the running due to the sheer impracticality of the female SeeD uniform. I mean, yeah, the guys in SeeD probably love the mini-skirts, but c'mon...).

2. Most Practical Outfit - Cid from FFVII. Shirt, pants and goggles. Can't really go wrong.

4. Most Impractical Outfit - Lulu's. So many belts has got to be annoying.

5. Best Formal Outfit - ...Probably the SeeD uniform.

4. Most Impractical Outfit. Not an outfit, but the female SeeD's uniform. You dont wear a miniskirt in the field!

5. Best Formal Outfit. Yuna's wedding dress.

Tie between Lulu & Vaan. Lulu's got a nice set, but please, that's not good for battle, or walking in, or when it's hot....or when it's cold...etc.. and Vaan? er....please, no one wants to see that

Garnet's. She was just so cute in that dress <3

6. Best Uniform
Turk uniform. SRSLY, those suits make any of 'em look sexy.

1. Coolest Outfit - Kuja!! I love it! It's sexy, pratical (can't be a man whore without your thong ;) jk) and just so awesome! whoever thought that an evil villain had such great fashion sense??
2. Most Practical Outfit - Steiner. You're not an annoying knight that klinks around speaking all formally without your armor.
3. Most Boring Outfit - Cloud. Puffy pants and purple curdoroy? bleh.
4. Most Impractical Outfit - Tifa. Sorry babe, I love ya, but your outfit does you no good fighting martial arts!!
5. Best Formal Outfit - Rinoa's formal white dress. Simple, yet gorgeous.
6. Best Uniform - the seed uniform. both men and women's. it was just really cool for a uniform.

1. Coolest Outfit Tidus outfit.
Basically because I like the randomness of the outfit and that fact that is just really different; almost surreal. Kefka's come in at a close second.

2. Most Practical Outfit Garnet's.
Not for me personally but it's not restrictive it's easy to use. Good for whatever temperature you're in. Keeps you well covered for dignity. Booya!

3. Most Boring Outfit Cloud's.
It's just really boring. Nothing more to it really.

4. Most Impractical Outfit Edea's.
I know that thing behind her head can retract and all but it still looks slightly impractical overall.

5. Best Formal Outfit Balamb Garden Uniform
You know like not the SeeD one but the one with silver shoulders. So cool!

6. Best Uniform Black Mages.
Mainly because I love the way they look anyway but as a uniform it is great. En Massé they looks fabulous and very formidable!
