correct me if im wrong but isn't azul, blue in spanish?

and also cerulean is blue in a different language i believe.
so his name translates to "Blue the Blue"

what do you think about this?

i think its a cool sounding name but quite stupid seems as thats his title.
who in their right mind would want to be called Blue the Blue?

still. not criticising the game. i'd imagine that on gaia, there is no spanish language or whatever language cerulean is from.

It's about on par with labeling maps with the Rio Grande river.

On the same theme Rosso means red, and Weiss means white, which is the color of purity (hence Immaculate).

Yeah, azul means blue in Spanish, but cerulean doesn't mean blue in any language. Cerulean is a shade of blue, just like crimson is a shade of red like for Rosso. Actually, some of their names look like color names to me, such as:

Rosso - Rojo [which is red in Spanish]

Nero - Negro [which is black in Spanish]

Wiess - white

All of the members of the Tsviets are named after colors, hence the group's name (based on Zvet, the Russian word for "color").

Azul: Blue in Portuguese and Spanish.
Shelke: Orange in Urdu (a language spoken in India).
Rosso: Red in Italian.
Nero: Black in Italian.
Weiss: White in German.
Argento: Silver in Latin and Italian.

As for the names, chalk it up as an odd sense of humor.

I've seen characters named after fruits, nuts, cats, desserts, numbers, condiments and hair care products. Color names seem almost normal in comparison. :greenie:

Hojo is an extant Japanese name. There's a character in Inu Yasha named Hojo, a high school student. Needless to say, it was a bit jarring at first.
