In your opinion, do you think they exist?

I think they do although there aren't much dumb threads. As long as a thread is understandable I don't think it's dumb.

Yes they exist. More of the time threads are just boring as hell though, not exactly dumb.

 That never gets old. Oh, Timmy...

Basically any thread created about religion is dumb, because it includes an excessive amount of ignorant bickering. *Stares at EoEo*

Maybe I should've said to not go that in depth about what kind of threads you find dumb. :(

Any thread that I close could be dumb and I've closed many. :)

of course stupid threads exist, there wouldn't be much fun around the forum if they didn't :)

I think we need some examples

Dumb thread = Cloud's best weapon

Ok thread = Inquiry into the psychological imperatives of Cloud (even though it is still sephiroth trite)

good thread = arguments about esotery that people take to heart.

Clearly, we can learn more about/from each other if we engage in lengthy arguments about politics, religion, science and technology that is dappled with opinion rather than ASL - age, sex, location.

By the way, Religion starts as many wars as science. I am so sick of the cliché: Religion is the cause of war. People, economics, technology even art can start a war. Even Romance, see the Trojan, can incite warfare!

Wait a minute ... isn't romance the opposite of war? Ha that is relativism i.e. the science of this is that compared to that. It is not applicable for many things.
