Yeah, long story short, I have no internets and probably won't for like, ages yet still so:

Merry Christmas to all of you, I hope you all have an ace holiday.

And now, for a random topic so it doesn't get closed, Aren't ISP's absolute arseholes and don't you hate them when they turn you off for no good reason? I surely do.

Have a good New Year, too. :jess:

Merry Christmas Dan~

I was fannying about with my Router and computer just because BT seriously have no idea what they were trying to do, and I made it come back again! I wonder how long it will stay for.

My ISP sucks, but not as much as 49.9% of my country makes out that it suck.

A further 50% seem to love it.

The other 0.1% are employees of the ISP, and realise that it does suck, but it doesn't suck too badly.

I work for my ISP.

Happy Jesus Christ Exploitation Day!

I suppose.

Internets are the suck, that is for definite positivity.

Do you get free internet, Mr. Face?

I have yet to experience good, reliable, consistent internet in this country.

I switched from BT nearly three years ago after countless problems with my 'Net connection (none of which were ever solved, by the way).

I'm now happy with NTL.

Merry Christmas, everyone! :) I'm glad with the way my ISP (the university's network) works. It's fast, loading with a speed of about 300 k/sec, even faster with things in the university's LAN, and it doesn't really go down all that often. I'm currently at my parents' place, and I'm not totally sure about this ISP, though it seems to have problems every now and then.

Yeah I was downloading at 420 k/sec last night, which was nice. I wish my upload speed was better than it is, though.

In my experiences whenever you need technical help you always wind up talking to someone with an accent which is hard to understand. Such a struggle is resisting the urge to request to speak to someone else

Yep, if it's not a call center in India, you're speaking to someone from Glasgow or Belfast. :monster:

Merry Christmas!

Yep, everytime I phone my ISP we go through the exact same questions, which generally don't get much more complicated than, "Is your modem plugged in?" My home internet is down at the moment, but I really can't face speaking to them.
