Is the first final fantasy you played your favourite?
I wonder this because the first one i played was 9 and thought wow this is the best game i have ever played or will ever play. I got 7 because lots of people said 7 was the best but after completing it I wonder why people think this. Then I realised that my friend who preffered 7 his first FF was 7. So I wonder if the first one you play will be your favourite one always it certainly is for me. :choc2:

It's not always the case but I would say 90% of the time it is true. I fall into the 90%, FFVI was my first game in the series, and still my favorite:D

My favorites in the series: Final Fantasy 6, 7, 9 and 12.

Each of them had something that made the games truly special and advanced the series tremendously. As for my first one. It was FF6.

Good ol 1987 for me was my first with Final Fantasy, I was 8 years old when it came out and i was all over it, i remember the day my mom took me out to buy it too...awesome day.

From there the rest was history.

Living that period in gaming history was incredible because as good as Final Fantasy was, FFII and III BLEW it away because at that time we didnt really have any huge major story driven game with such passion and emotion within.

Dragon Warrior was 89 and i got that game for free with my Nintendo Power Subscrib, but it never held that passion or intensity that FF II and III had on SNES.

Heh and the waiting for FF III was the worst, i was so dying for that game after II just totally blew me away.

Ok, first off, just because someone played a certain FF first doesn't necessarily mean that is going to be their favorite. Many people like 7 and played it first, most likley because they heard somewhere that it was good. Just because they played 7 first does not automatically make them think it's the best. OK? Good.

In answer to your question NOOOOOOO! The first FF I played was 10. OMFG I hated that game! I couldn't finish it. I wanted the main character to die sooo much......I truly wanted to see him get killed in a most horrific way that would make S. King flinch. Let him bleed to death, the most painful way to die. A gut stab would have been nice, takes up to 3 days to finally bleed out, while lingering in agony....That's the nicest death for him I could think of.
I hated the whole thing with a passion. It was one of the worst games I've ever played in my life. Afterwards I did play 7 and it is currently my favorite of the FF series. If it will remain so has yet to be determined.

FFIV was my first, back when it was called FFII.
Yeah, me too. I couldn't beat the Magus Sisters for anything. So I gave up and tried FF1 for the NES, and after that, went on to play FF2/4j again and this time tried killing the fat one first. So I beat the Magus Sisters, but a few hours later, I was facing Zeromus, and I lost to him so many times that I gave up and tried again some 5 or 6 years later, at which point I destroyed him.

FF4 is not my favorite, at all. FF Tactics is, followed closely by FF6.

I didn't play FF Tactics until some time after playing FF1, FF4, FF6 and FF7. I love FFT and will always claim that it is the single greatest video game ever made.

I must one of the rare pepole who did'nt like the first few that I played.
It was'nt until my fourth Final Fantasy that I really found my favorite.

FFVIII was my first one: -_- ugh time compression
FFX was my second one: >.> the main character was way to whiny, I did like how the summons looked though.
FFIX was my third one: I actually kinda liked this one,
Vivi + Black Magic = Best Black Mage Ever
FFVII was my fourth one: This one is my favorite, its quite possible that its the best game of the series so far.
