View Full Version : Wheres the Fomalhaut in Lhusu mines?

I heard it can be found in that room where you defeat the Antlion infestation. I've teleported out and back in and the chest appeared a few times but now it doesn't. I've used up 18 teleport crystals and am not sure if I should waste some more.

I've been using the daimond armlet as well with no luck.

u dont need diamond armlet. just save at the save stone and reload ur game until the chest is there and u get it. simple as can be.

Simple? ok maybe I didn't reload the game enough. I've only done it 14 times so far but still no Fomalhaut. I'lll still keep at it until I've done it 25 times. After that I'm just gonna forget about it.

It's fun though fleeing into that little room and having all those Mantis chase me down. Then when I get to the room I cast oil on all of them. Usually 3-5 of them, and I have my gambits set to Foe:Status:Oil:Firaga. And burn them to hell!

That's the only upside. I'll keep trying and maybe I'll get lucky with the Fomalhaut.

so far all I've been getting is the knot of rust. This is my 19th try now.

Well, I'm done here for now. No Fomalhaut after 25 tries. I'm wondering if maybe I changed the possibility of it appearing since I didn't really look for it after I killed the Antlion Infestation hunt. I immediately went in deeper into the Lhusu mines, killed Disma, then killed Gilgamesh before I even thought of going after the Fomalhaut.

Or maybe I have a crappy copy of FF12?? LOL. This sucks though coz I wanted Balthier to have more killing power with a gun.

i accidently came across it during the antlion hunt it was pretty lucky its worth getting though from then on balthier has been doing more then double the damage of everyone else.

You can get Fomalhaut in Subterra, Cerobi Steppe and Henne Mines, so don't worry!

Damn, I finally got it!! I was just in the Lhusu mines to reap up some loot and finally got Fomalhaut! This is one bad boy gun. Getting up to 8000 kill shots.

u guys found a chest!, u got more luck than me i keep beating the antlion and nada nothing appears. Do u have to keep beating the antlion till the chest finally spawns or do you just keep returning to lhussu ? please u guys are the only ones that can help me reply soon please :confused:

A lot of chests have a chance of spawning.. sometimes they wont spawn.
They also have a chance to have multiple different versions of loot.

This is a respawnable chest I believe however, so all you need to do is travel 3 screens away, and come back to check.

And there's no need to kill the Antlion again. I got mine whie I was hunting for Gilgamesh, loong after I pwned the Antlion!

as u come from tha only red crystal in tha lhusu mines. u would go from tha zone behind tha crystal and WALK to the antilon location withOUT tha diamond arm... and dont take tha trolly!! just walk back and forth in tell tha treasure spawns and touch them
trust me u will get it
i got 2 in 9 tries
