Stuck on the Leviathan

First I want to say, if you're going to post something like, OMG THAT WAS SO EASY FOR ME AND I WAS ON LEVEL 2, then just piss off, I don't want to hear it.

Oh, and no spoilers please.


I'm around level 11-13 and I think I should probably be higher :P

Anyways, my problem is I can't really beat the soldiers when the all gang up on me like that after releasing Ashe. So, I tried fleeing, thinking I'll go level up somewhere to make up. After several attempts, I finally make it to Penelo and fight Judge Ghis.

DEAD.

this is where I am to. u should level up some more. I am on Level 15's for the average and im going to even level up to get like level 20 and i havent even reached the Leviathon im on the place before. but level up it doesnt take that long compared to ffx actually.

I was level 20 when I beat Ghis. You can try leveling up AT the Leviathan, just go back and forth against soldiers near the save crystal till you're ready.

urgh i hated the leviathan.:cry: i was soo weak, i trained at that place for weeks!!!!!!! i was so sick of it! level up and take those treasure chests! they will help you. :choc2:

Well, it is easy to chain imperial soldiers so you might get some good loot too. Don't take the "5 minutes" too seriously, it is just the time the alarm is off, you actually have as long as you want to cross the Leviathan

The only advice I can offer is that I was level 14.

umm....I'm stuck here, I think I know where that blasted Judge is. Anywho, I'm going to level up and collect phoenix downs and potions along the way. I can't think of a good way to earn gil while i'm on here though, guess I'll just have to live on those.

I was at the same level as you. I don't think you need to go higher than 11-13 anyway. But maybe that's because my entire roster had Javelins. Either way, with Vossler it's easier to level up if you really want to. Otherwise, while Judge Ghis is casting Protect, cast Blind on him and then Disable to stop his little guys. Kill them and then focus on Ghis. It's not too hard, the walk there is just long.

Due to my lack of gil, I don't have a lot of ablilities. Just basic level one white, green, and black magic. As for technics, I just have steal and first aid. Maybe libra, can't remember.

I think I was on level 11; it was one of those "omp is it over? oh wow only two people are left x.x;" kind of things.

I think mostly I had ashe run around as far away as possible to cure people, and I threw a bunch of items like water motes and stuff. Of course, if you haven't fought any battles or managed to pick up those, that won't do you much good. But definitely see if you have any useful items you could toss and hurt a bunch of them at once.

Honestly, it sounds that it is taking you a lot more time in the Leviathan than it would to backtrack a bit and go into the mission better prepared. Why don't you just go to a previously saved game ?

I'd just keep Leveling till ~L18. Get a bunch of LP and get tons of augments, and make sure you have plenty of Phoenix Downs and Potions before you fight him. The first time I fought him, I thought I was dead; I ended up with Vaan casting Protect on everyone and Ashe spamming Cure while Balthier attacked. =P

Also, if you're chaining Imperials, watch out for the Mastiffs! They'll break teh chain. >.<

I was in your shoes with the Leviathan...but luckly for me...I had alot of phoniex downs...I didn't grind my level up so my guys were like level 12ish, but quickenings do make a huge difference even if you only have 1 character with one.
