When Nightmare Before Christmas was rerelased in IMAX theaters in 3D a couple of months ago, Manson was asked to cover the famous opening song. I can't believe I didn't know about this untill now. Anyway, someone made a video that sychs Manson's cover with the openeing of the movie, but it does get slightly off synch in the middle. The song is still worth giving a listen, though. Like or dislike Manson, I think the style goes very well for the song.

It's certainly better than that terrible Panic! At The Disco version.

I knew about this, but I never found it on anything.

It's good, but I think Manson needs to forge about Phantasmagoria (which I have a strange feeling will suck) and go back to music for the love of God because I miss him :(

Not bad, considering that it had to fit with the opening movie. I would've loved to see what he could've done if he were just doing a normal cover, though.

I love this song :jess: I have the whole redone soundtrack and the few songs other artist's covered are all pretty good. Panic!'s take on Halloween is my least favorite of them, though :o. And I don't even hate that band like most people do.

Fiona Apple's Sally's Song is delicious. I didn't even really like that song until I listened to her version so many times. Fallout Boy did a good job on What's This too.

Anything is better than them, my friend.

I didn't expect much at first, but it's actually okay.

I first heard this at the Halloween party a few months ago and proceeded to download it in all of it's deliciousness. Get on IRC and I'll send it to you, Kelly.

It's sounds like some sort of hodgepodge of lullabye and that quivering-gut style of singing that's the rage these days.

It's decent, but there were points where he seemed to be too insistent on that dark growling sound he's known for instead of giving the song the kind of character it needs.

Manson should be shot

They wouldn't have asked him to do a cover for the special edition soundtrack if they thought he should be shot.

They did on the other hand want Panic at the Disco shot, that's how they got on there.

well one time at a show, he threw out animals (dogs, cats, etc), and told the audience to rip them up or he wouldnt start the show, so they did

Seriously, people always make up bull about manson. Watch manson's MTV Diary, he's actually a really decent person...actually listen to any of his interviews, he's a pretty intelligent person.

As for his version of This is Halloween...well, i dont much care for it, but i think its the best anyone could do considering the song doesnt work well being done by one single person.

sounds pretty good, and it works with all the little vocal fx he uses (some natural, some artificial) and is known for, i was impressed, defiantealy heavier than the original but that was expected...

I heard this a while ago, and while I like both Manson and the original song, I thought this was lousy.

As far as I know, I've never heard another P!ATD song, so I'm not going to say they're a crappy band. :P I'm just talking about the one song.

I think he does a wonderful job with this song, but it's not something that I would put on my Best of the Best CD. It's great as the opening song for the show though.

All of the remakes (the ones mentioned plus She Wants Revenge's version of Kidnap the Sandy Claws and Fall Out Boy's version of What's This) were good. Panic!'s version was good, but it just didn't match the movie as well as Manson's version. I'm just upset that no one did Oogie Bogie's song.:(

Great song, could have gone without panic's version though.

I like the original far more. Mainly because of all the character voices...that is if I remember it correctly. It was also more festive and fun.
