I like the Red Mage's look and abilities, but...
Ninjas are just awesome. Not only are they ninjas, but they get the 2 Swords ability. Give a Red Mage the 2 Swords ability and you've got major awesomeness!

I havn't finished the hole game yet I'm up to the part where the fire cristal shaters
But my fav is a Sorcerer with black magic added. man it's killing lots of monsters.

Ninja and Samurai get my vote. Ninja is probably the more useful of the two. Although you really can't go wrong with !Gil Toss.

It's amazing how many times Return saved my ass. Lancer's Jump ability is good too.

Gotta love Haste too. Anything that makes you faster and/or your enemies slower is ok in my book.

I left the 4 votes with the Hunter so if anyone wants to change to Trainer, then just say so and I'll fix it. Added the 4 new jobs too.

I love being a mage with the Lancer ability, or a Sorcerer with the Dual Weild ability. I haven't gotten around to test the new jobs yet, but I've just got them and collecting AP now. After reading this thread I think I'm gonna try out Time Mage more.

Simple, my final party, most likely, based off the SNES version final party I had... names changed to the GBA names... but I have to try the new classes so some of this may change.

Although sumoner isnt too useful in V its a class id choose if somebody in real life offered me a crystal shard o_O Hunter as a class isnt my fave but X-fight is the most bestest greatest awesomest move ever :D Give that to a warrior in his bulky armour and a shield and hes unstoppable. Then add 2-swords to the mix and put that on a Bare with X-fight and you have a GOD. so thats errrrm sumoner, ninja, hunter, knight and Bare... yup

Ugh... Summoner for sure.. once you get Titan he rocks half of Galufs world, until you get level 3 spells anyway, and in late game Leviathan owns Iron Giants for leveling more than anything else, and levi + bahamut own the n-zone anyway unless you use gil toss which is terribly overpowered and kinda lame

I never liked physical attacks in this game.. up until you get the very best weapons and x-fight/sshot they suck big time compared to summons and black magic... Time mages rule but comet and meteor are rather crappy... since they are totally random, if youre a lucky guy yeah sure they rock the house, but if youre unlucky like me youll see meteor doing a pitiful 2500 damage total..

Normally I try to get my party to the point where they just beat down the normal random encounters with physical attacks and use magic for healing and smiting bosses. That's in any sort of game like Final Fantasy.

In FFV I'd have to say that my favourite is a Black Mage. It would usually be a summoner but they arent REALLY handy in this game.

Although as Shin Omega said; if I were in reality given a choice I'd choose Summoner.

I love the Ninja. But the job level I'm on with my Ninja is taking forever, like 450 AP.

I also think the Thief's "Steal" is important.

Blue Magic has come in super handy. There's a few bosses that are hit by "Death Claw", which leaves the enemy with only 1 or 2 HP. Also, the
Blowfish type move that always does 1000 damage is very valuble, for a long time. Also, White Wind is great for curing, too.

I've recently realized the Ranger is actually pretty good, which is something I personally haven't seen in many RPGs, you know, to have a powerful, useful Archer class.

450 job classes fly by when you level in that random dungeon in Galuf's castle where the 5 stone gargoyle/knight things show up. Can't remember what they're called, but yeah. I think they're weak against thunder, so throwing the lightning scrolls at them over and over = mad job levels
