(Re-posting this from another forum)

So far, I'm looking forward to the new one from A Girl Called Eddy, Andrew Bird (which is a collaboration with Dosh... I wonder how that will turn out), and Menomena. I heard that a new Feist album for '07 is a possibility.

Supposedly, MF Doom is planning on recording new Madvillain and Dangerdoom material. Really hoping they come out by the end of the year. Any upcoming albums you folks are planning to purchase this year?

Marilyn Manson should be having a new album out around February and that is one that I am very much looking forward to. :cat:

I am actually also looking forward to Marilyn Manson's 2007 album. I've been very much into Lest We Forget as of late.

Kamelot may have a new album coming out this year, I'll be looking forward to that if it happens. It's only an estimation though.

"Paradise Lost" by Symphony X is slated for a 2007 release date, that'll be nice to hear.

And then the Radiohead one too, I guess.

I'm not really all up to date on album release dates.

The Chariot better be coming out with something new. Although their last album will always be in heavy rotation on any playlist of mine

Radiohead needs to come out with something new.

I don't really listen to any "now" music, so I don't know who's coming out with what.

Maybe some Every Time I Die? Bring back the warbling scream?

The Explosions in the Sky album is fucking amazing, for the record. It leaked a while back. :monster: Also, Moonsorrow - Viides Luku - Hävitetty (51 minute long album with two songs on it )#

Edit: Isn't MF Doom doing a collaboration with Ghostface Killah? :monster:

Not much chance unless Rush or Dave Matthews Band put out something new this year. Tool just had a new album last year, we're not likely to see anything new from A Perfect Circle anytime soon, The Mars Volta also had an album last year and since I didn't like it or the fact that John Theodore has left the group I find it hard to even care if they do release another album. All of my other favourite bands also tend to be ones who are broken up either recently or a long time ago. I guess that means no real new music for me this year, but I guess I'll be able to work on picking up some older stuff that I've been meaning to get for awhile.

2007 looks pretty good to me. I'm looking forward to:

Owen Pallett - Heartland (plus I think he said he's going to do a bunch of eps and stuff before the actual record comes out)
Do Make Say Think - You, You're A History in Rust (already listened, fantastic.)
Panda Bear - Person Pitch
The Blankket - Be Your Own Boss
Patrick Wolf - Magic Position (it's goooodness)
Pyramid Culture - 100% True!
New Feist (looking forward to this the most)
New Animal Collective

I'm sure there's plenty others, but I can't think.

Totally forgot about Feist.......

I've heard "The Eastern Shore" and "Intuition", which are both pretty good. I don't think this new album will top "Let It Die", but I'm still looking forward to it nonetheless.

I also forgot about Deerhoof!

I'm looking forward to a new Jason Mraz album, not that I've heard anything about one. Mraz is just plain awesome and I want more.

I’m never really up-to-date on stuff like this, so I only know one album set for release in 2007; Silverchair’s Young Modern. I like Silverchair, but I don’t like like Silverchair, so I’m not bleeding in my pants in anticipation.
One day I’ll probably just be like “well would you look at that,” and then I would have a new album.

There are a few rumored albums I have heard of (such as a 2007 release by Slick Rick), but I try not to get too excited when it’s just a rumor.

Though... if the rumors are true about a new album by The Frogs, I am going to be trying my hardest to acquire that album. :smash:

The only things I can think of that I'd like to see are more Radiohead (surprise), Smashing Pumpkins, Silverchair, and Chevelle. I'd really like more A Perfect Circle, but like another said, it's not likely to happen soon.

Also, more Frou Frou. But maybe there's something else going on there that I don't know about. I don't keep up with this stuff.

I'm not really a fan of Linkin Park anymore, but I'm somewhat interested in their third album which comes out this year.

PANIC☆ch/Panic Channel is finally releasing one in February. It may be just a mini-album, but that's okay. I hope at least some of you know who they are and rejoice. =D

I have been informed that there is a possibility, and rumors that are suspciously delicious, that Pain of Salvation may be releasing The Perfect Element, Part 2 sometime later this year.

They are rumors, but I am hoping they are the truthful ones.

Rufus Wainwright - Release the Stars and Kanye West - Graduation are the only ones I can think of at the moment.

Apparently Guns n' Roses will finally be releasing the album that they said they were going to release years ago.

N.E.R.D., Talib Kweli, Linkin Park, Dir en grey and Common are what I might get this year.

Yeah, but Axl Rose says that every year. I will be skeptical of Chinese Democracy until it's sitting in front of me.

Also, I didn't know N.E.R.D was coming out with new stuff. I will monitor this thread with interest.
