Help on Photoshop

I have photoshop but i don't know how to use it properly....:(
I know how to use the filters and effects but i do not know how to add pictures onto that sig/project/ avatar please help...If you can help me I will help you with your sig requests... which means i will be your little apprentice at sig making.....:D

What is it you're trying to do with it? Brushes? Filters? Both? Or what.

Alright i got all these done and learnt....please go to my thread to look at my made sigs...
