I just watched the first episode and wrote a more extensive opinion of it on my fresh blog.

So far it *looks* really good. You can click through Spike TV's official website (http://www.afrosamurai.com/) to watch the first episode now, or wait till Thursday evening to watch it on the channel itself. I wasn't expecting much from the show, but it looks like it'll have enough in it to make it worth watching for the 5 episodes it will run.
