In grade 6, I played the tenor recorder (http://www.tomleemusic.ca/images/inventory/93116_f.jpg), in grade 7-8 I played the baritone (http://www.hypermusic.ca/inst/images/selmer_bach_baritone.gif). I don't play either of those anymore.

Has anyone made the skin flute joke? If not, I am making that joke now. If so, here is a serious answer:

I do not play an instrument. I used to play piano and acoustic guitar. I failed to keep up with these two and lost the ability to play them. I would like to learn to play the piano.

I've been playing acoustic guitar for about 7 months now, and I'm WORKING on my singing OKAY. Haha. I'll be good someday. ;)
I write songs and stuff solo, under the name of "Pontypool", and I am recording a 12 (or about that) track demo EP thingy sometime soon - originals and a few covers. For that, though, a friend will be playing drums on a few songs. And another chum on bass. Hopefully.

I always thought it was cool to be part of the musical scene and I reckon I could take something up one day like the violin or the flute. I don't think I'd be much use as a pianist. I find it very hard to do two things at once

I've played electric guitar for around three and a half years, can sweep/shred whatever you want to call it quite comfortably, I love. I have an SG and a Dimebag Sig, and am playing in a metal/rock band that started in Novemeber as a joke and now currently has seven songs and four local gigs lined up starting Jan 20th. Music is fun.

I'm picking up a keyboard this weekend, largely due to a slight obsession with Sonata Arctica, I love the way the keyboard is used in their music. I know most of the theory behind it, so hopefully it's just translating and picking up the technique.

I like to play :)

Gah! Yes! Sonata Arctica is AWESOME!! One of my friends got me listening to them Another two bands that use keyboards great is Screaming Mechanical Brain and Dead Star Assembly. :c)

Anyway, to stay on topic, I recently (last night) bought a bass. And decided to learn how to play it and the drums ( my mom has a drum set, but doesn't use it).
