The way I look at it (to justify it) is that she's only in her 20s (meanwhile, I turn 30 in a couple months), we're both still finding ourselves. I'm one of the few remaining friends that she can count on when she comes to visit. She's pretty much the only friend I have. Letting her go wouldn't make me better off. I don't know if it would be better for her, but I don't see how it would be. She already has a life in Canada complete with a job, it's not like our friendship somehow detracts from that. We both just need a little more time to grow up. Or at least that's my hope. I would hate for us both to be trapped in this limbo indefinitely. But I'm certainly not going to be the one walk away. I don't have that kind of strength.
I think that you guys probably need to let eachother go. What was the point in all of this? Her showing back up, sleeping with some other dude, having you come over to spend time with her, saying she wanted "more" from your visit" and her being wishy-washy for the rest of the time makes it seem like she is more interested in short-term gratification and causing drama.
I generally don't agree with nik. But I agree with nik.

It's not even clear to me what your point is.
Because everyone watches TV and listens to music every single day and never questions it's or criticizes it right - right? Oh, wait, they don't. Because everyone agrees on everything right? Oh wait. Honestly it's an interesting conspiracy theory but having lived through at least 6 so called "Illuminati Doomsday" events. There are so many fallacies with that theory these days - particularly the fact the American economy is in shambles and there's a certain country called China putting a massive dent into America's world prowess. But, what if, all those theories about the Illuminati and hiding in plain sight is just a red herring conjured up to stir paranoia and keep eyes off of the real puppet masters? The whole, "I don't see conspiracy" thing is abhorrent to me because it's such an entitled attitude. Oh, YOU don't see conspiracy? Ever think why? No less entitled than an insinuating someone is a blind idiot if they don't agree with you. Pointing out the conspiracy is my way of clarifying that such things as racism and sexism and economic class and corrupt government exist and will not go away simply because you happen to be polite or write in or protest or whatever it is you think you're doing to change the world. It's also a highly reductionist argument of no use at all. It, like faith, is just a vessel to create understanding of a meaning more complex. It shackles you more than it enlightens you. Though on the plus side this is the first thing you've posted in ages that you haven't mentioned your ex in.
Haha, Nickelback.
is this a subtle metaphor for the sexism thread?

well you don't really define this cult in your blog post so i'm just running with what i've been told the illuminati are and yeah, i don't see it, and would like proof to show it if it exists. the lack of information doesn't mean it's being withheld. and i don't want to see youtube videos with booming music in the background, or callers to am radio talk shows ranting on about whatever perhaps you'll like this Bilderberg Group - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia no, racism isn't going away because of activism, but segregation is certainly a lot less prevalent what with the laws about it nowadays.
Awfully really valid point and i'm impressed by your thinking.ish to dismiss the idea by attributing an outlandish portrayal of a large-scale (global even) organization. The whole, "I don't see conspiracy" thing is abhorrent to me because it's such an entitled attitude. Oh, YOU don't see conspiracy? Ever think why? Of course, I realize ignorance is bliss.
you can prove air pollution and the hole in the ozone layer tho like there's data your claim doesn't magically render it existent without proof there's plenty of organizations that control certain aspects of the world, be it food or health or government of varying regions, but a group of guys in robes meeting at midnight at a round table in the basement of a castle running everything? people aren't smart enough to encapsulate that much stuff in one group imo.
Drive a wooden stake through her heart.
Well she just needs the ol' Carl Rogers quote on self-actulization. This is not hard stuff, well actually it is. You have to remind her of who she is, empower her. Mercen-X you have to treat this as a problem, and not with emotions. You are allowing yourself to care too much. You won't solve if you care about her. Harsh but that's how it is, I'm not saying be a dick. Just consider every possibility. I want to know more so please tell me. I want to help.
Sheesh, I dread to think how insecure her facebook page is. I don't personally have much of an issue with people saying things about their personal life. If their too much for some people, they know what they can do can't they? As for your ex-girlfriend turned friend, you need to remind her that turning men down in a relationship is always a bad thing. Hell, you two seem pretty good friends anyway. She needs to.. be slightly more selfish? As I see it, she's too concerned with upsetting the guy she's with and therefore doesn't want call it a day. While that is admirable, she needs to be slightly more self-subservient. Is that sort in the ballpark Mercen?
