I blog about visual novels as I read them.
It seems someone has been hijacking and misusing my blog by making a post unrelated to visual novels, though if Umineko's taught me anything it's not to mess with bored witches, so I'll leave it there... As for myself, I've got something bigger to talk about. So in case you didn't know, I spent the better part of the last three months rereading CLANNAD, my first visual novel. Technically Ace Attorney was my first, ...
"Hi there~! Oh don't mind me. I heard a witch has come up with a new idea for an interesting gameboard, so I just ha~d to come check it out. ☆And to help her with her game, I hijacked this random human's blog to allow one of the pieces of the game to have it's say☆. Have fun with the rest of the game, everybody~!" What do I feel about being a hero? I remember asking many a great hero that question back in my days as a ...
I felt like fans of the Infinity or Zero Escape series might be interested in this. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...-xtend-edition Conceptually it's very reminiscent of those two series (not to mention Nakazawa being the director again) except that instead of 'just' being an escape story, it's more of a rescue story this time. But apparently you get to view it unfold both from the outside as well as from the inside. Sounds ...
Something sweet and motivating to start off the new year with. (I think I've obscured it enough so as to not spoil where it's from, but if you recognize the style early on and you haven't completed this VN yet, proceed with caution.) Show
Wow, hard to believe it's already been a year. Across the entirety of 2015 I've made 90 whole blog posts. That's a post every four days! Let me take a look at how far I've come since starting this thing... I've read 23 new visual novels, 18 of which I've reviewed. Adding up all the approximate lengths I'm left presuming I spent about 650 hours on it. Not counting rereads of visual novels I had already read prior to this year. By far my most active reading ...
Seems like censoring in games has become quite a controversial issue recently. I mostly see people vehemently claiming that censoring is bad practice and should not be a thing. And I gotta be honest, I feel it's not quite that simple. https://kakeracomplex.wordpress.com/...-novel-reader/ This article is a bit old, being from mid-2013, but this has been an issue in the visual novel localizing scene for years now and it STILL ...
What happens when Hatoful Boyfriend meets Phoenix Wright in 19th century Paris? I guess this: http://www.siliconera.com/2015/12/09...december-18th/ ...let's see how this turns out.
You know I was somewhat anxious going into CLANNAD. Not too long ago I crowned it my #3 favorite visual novel, but really, it's been two years since I read it by now. It was the first visual novel I had ever read that I truly identified as a member of its medium. So I was slightly afraid that it turns out my perception of CLANNAD was just heavily colored, that since I had no standards regarding visual novels back then, it might fail to hold up now, not actually being as good as I remember. ...
Rose Guns Days is a visual novel developed by 07th Expansion, written by Ryukishi07. Overview Rose Guns Days takes place in post-WWII Japan where, in an alternate history, Japan's culture is slowly being eradicated by the overwhelming influx of American and Chinese residents and poor treatment and ensuing poverty the native Japanese have to endure. Solidarity among fellow Japanese countrymen is at an all-time ...
