I love this game I agree that Nagito is the best I think the thing you're missing about Ultimate Despair and the reason they joined was that this whole despair thing is contagious. I see it in a more meta, metaphorical sense in that Junko is kinda that virus that just spreads and especially effects those that had the greatest hope. Think how negativity spreads on the Internet, for example. And in real life, it's isually those who are most strongly positive that fall the hardest when shot hits the fan ^^
Not really. It may not seem like it at first, but it is heavily reliant on your knowledge of the first game. The first game is still really good, though, Pumpkin!
Can you play this game without having played the first?
Eeeee
If it were any other author I'd be really worried they'd just use it for shock factor. But this guy I trust with handling it well.
Well I suppose child rape could be handled in a way that shows the horrors or it and helps raise awareness and done in a... tactful way for lack of a better word. Hopefully it isn't just shock value or fetishized or something
I hear you. Tomoyo in particular looks so unfamiliar at first (not to mention she has a different voice actress which DOESN'T HELP) but as with most art styles ~you get used to it~. Sadly no news on LB. I'll definitely post any updates on it as soon as I get my hands on some =P
I would defo play an all-ages version. The art style looks different though which is throwing me off a bit. Any news on Little Busters being Steam released yet
Man this thing really took off
Wow this looks just up my alley!
OH MY GOSH
Oh is there? That's good news
I wish that as well. But there is one in the making so it'll be on there... someday... eventually...
I wish there was a Steam release of this
see told you she was best girl

There were a few things that made the experience of reading 999 a slog at times. Primarily the text speed, the repeating puzzles and the fact that the final twists were almost a carbon copy of another VN by the same writer I'd read previously. Compared to these, the advantages it has over VLR pale to me, so I prefer the sequel overall.
VLR is better in some respects and weaker in others. Overall, I'd say I enjoyed 999 more, but VLR was still a very good game
I mean, I played 999, and it was gory sure, but you were never seen explicit details. Really, the worst thing was getting the axe ending and hearing the sound of the axe blow. That made me cringe. I need to get VLR. I have a 3DS as well, so it isn't as if I'm stymied. And apparently the pathways are better too. As in, you don't have to replay the entire game again to get another ending. 999 was a slog by the end.

The trailer is pretty brutal. The methods of execution isn't just a simple bracelet injecting you with a drug, we have full-on armoured mini-guns. Gory. That kid with the freaky mask seems... interesting. There's also one member of the group who seems the most highly strung (I think he's the one throttling the kid and wielding the shotgun). Looks good, and it keeps reminding me that I need to play VLR.
