I blog about visual novels as I read them.
The CLANNAD Steam page has gone online and the release date has been revealed to be November 23rd! This also means that the Kazamatsuri Bookclub will be starting on that very day. If you're interested in participating - which I wholeheartedly recommend doing - mark your calendars. The bookclub does encourage reading at your own pace, but it'd be nice if you could at least find the few hours a week to read the route we're currently focusing on. It'd ...
http://store.steampowered.com/app/377670/ What the hell are you still reading this for!? Go buy it already! Still unconvinced? It's a visual novel of moderate length with a thrilling story, a colorful cast and an absolutely incredible ending. It's the perfect starter VN, and still ranks as one of the overall best! And it's 30% off right now for launch week! What more do you need? Just get it. It's good. It's in my absolute favorites, ...
So VisualArtsUSA just announced a thing. ... ...... *exhales* *exhales some more* *recalls that this was seriously just a casual announcment for the localization of smurfing Little Busters! and Tomoyo After* ... SO YEAH, THIS HAPPENED. I cannot put in words how ecstatic I am about this, ...

http://www.siliconera.com/2015/10/30...cters-lovable/ This got posted on the Muv-Luv Kickstarter a little while ago, and I found it pretty interesting. I especially wasn't aware of the whole 'War Guilt' thing and why writers turn to mecha to depict war situations instead.
So within the next month or two we'll finally see the release of CLANNAD on Steam. CLANNAD being one of Key's most acclaimed visual novels and also one of my all-time favorites. One of the finest examples of a great character-focused game. And with that the Kazamatsuri.org community will, once again, have a bookclub. A detailed article as to what the bookclub is and what participation entails can be found here: http://kazamatsuri.org/introducing-t...nnad-on-steam/ ...
It's the Rokkenjima Incident's anniversary today, so I felt like making some sort of post about Umineko at least. So this is what I came up with. Time to enjoy being extremely vague! At least I believe I did well to avoid notable spoilers in this post. Umineko no Naku Koro ni is a mystery story. A story with truths hidden beneath its surface which it wants its readers to figure out on their own. But how likely is it really that the attentive reader will actually figure out everything ...
What do you call it when the writer of Higurashi and Umineko decides to go write a Baccano! slash Cowboy Bebop esque story? smurfing glorious that's what. No seriously, this has to be one of the best prospects for a story I've ever heard. Rose Gun(s) Days is sometimes called Ryukishi07's most accessible work, and well, I wouldn't be surprised. It's set - for the most part - in post-war Japan, 1947 to be exact. But before I go into the story further, ...
The kickstarter for the Muv-Luv localization just went live! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...l-novel-series Muv-Luv is the best-rated visual novel series on VNDB, and it's not conceited to say that it is probably the most loved and universally appreciated Visual Novel series in the English-speaking realm of visual novel fans. If you want to support the localization of such a legacy and the industry as a whole, or you ...
Symphonic Rain is a visual novel developed by Kuroneko-san Team and published by Kogado Studio. Overview Symphonic Rain takes place in an Italian town called Piova in which a perpetual rain falls. The protagonist, Chris Vertin, is a senior at the local prestigious music school. He specializes in playing the Fortell, an instrument said to require 'magic' to play, capable of producing all sorts of different ...
I somehow forgot to post this way back when it was first made. http://i.imgur.com/zQujQCs.jpg Some time ago, the Visual Novels Subreddit had an extensive poll to rate visual novels of many different genres by their newbie-friendliness, the end result of which is this huge image. They're sorted by newbie-friendliness from left to right, and you can also see ratings for overall/visuals/music/story to make your choice easier, plus there are icons to indicate 18+ games, 18+ ...
