I blog about visual novels as I read them.
Do you know that feeling when sometimes you just get into the mood to drop everything you're doing and spend the next few days doing nothing but reading? The House in Fata Morgana (or Fata Morgana no Yakata) is a visual novel for sale on Steam. The initial parts of the novel are written in second person narration of all things as You, the master of a mansion, are awoken by an unfamiliar maid. [IMG]https://i.imgur.com/CBTpiDQ.png ...
Another VN I've been anxiously awaiting the release day of. Root Double focuses on an unfortunate incident at a nuclear facility where after the reactor goes into critical condition the rescue crew as well as some survivors are locked inside as the area is closed off with bulkheads to prevent a meltdown fallout. ...
Yep, this again. Writing this was actually quite fun last time, so why not do it again? I'd adopt it as a regular thing for more visual novels but there wouldn't be much point to it, would there. The rest of this post contains spoilers for the entirety of both Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. (SPOILER) In many ways Danganronpa 2 feels like a natural evolution of Danganronpa 1. The mysteries are more complex, the story builds upon ...
It's been a while since I've been this hyped for a game release! So let's churn out this post quickly so I can get back to playing... The story begins as our new protagonist, Hajime Hinata, enters Hope's Peak Academy for the first time as a freshman. Unfortunately that's where his memory cuts off and the next thing he remembers is entering a classroom where he finds his fellow classmates. 15 other "ultimates" chosen ...
Well then. So finally I'll be reading this novel. If the title reminds you of a certain other novel, that's no coincidence, it's by the same author; Ryukishi07. Making this the last 07th Expansion novel I haven't read yet, so as you can probably imagine I'm very ...
So, having completed my readthrough of Danganronpa recently, I felt like making a post like this. This doesn't mean I'm not gonna review it as well, but more than just reviewing it I also want to bring up and talk about some specific parts of the game that stood out to me, be it positively or negatively. The rest of this post contains spoilers for the entirety of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, the first game in the Danganronpa series. (SPOILER) So let's start on ...

Well, with the recent Steam release of this game there was no way I'd leave it hanging any longer. Danganronpa is set in "Hope's Peak Academy", a special academy which only ULTIMATE people may attend. There's the Ultimate Baseball Star, the Ultimate Fashionista, the Ultimate Gambler, ... ultimate people from all over the place. As for the protagonist? Well he's the Ultimate Lucky ...

It seems someone has been hijacking and misusing my blog by making a post unrelated to visual novels, though if Umineko's taught me anything it's not to mess with bored witches, so I'll leave it there... As for myself, I've got something bigger to talk about. So in case you didn't know, I spent the better part of the last three months rereading CLANNAD, my first visual novel. Technically Ace Attorney was my first, ...
You know I was somewhat anxious going into CLANNAD. Not too long ago I crowned it my #3 favorite visual novel, but really, it's been two years since I read it by now. It was the first visual novel I had ever read that I truly identified as a member of its medium. So I was slightly afraid that it turns out my perception of CLANNAD was just heavily colored, that since I had no standards regarding visual novels back then, it might fail to hold up now, not actually being as good as I remember. ...
So after a bit of a hiatus to catch up on some other things, I felt like jumping straight back into what I hope to be a beautiful storyline. Symphonic Rain, a story set in a small town where the rain falls perpetually. Supposedly the plot is very much focused on music. OH MY GOD IT'S SO CUTE. This is Phorni, a fairy-like being called a 'sprite of music' who lives in one of the rooms at the protagonist's home. He is presumably ...
